Well you are welcome to come, and if you see a silver RX-8 with a vented carbon fiber hood that is probably me. If you see a ti-grey with black emblems and wheels that is brokenrecord. There are also a couple more I see but don't know them or if they belong the forum (another ti-grey, another silver, lightning yellow and wwp)

I have always wanted to go, and unfortunately never been. My work schedule seems to always be incompatible, and this year I opted to go on the Hot Rod power tour instead.

Never have. Always seem to get nailed when I plan an event.
I do plan to make some Grand-Am Corrals again in the near future.
Miss that stuff a lot.

Spotted a Velocity Red in Cross Lanes, followed him down the interstate from bville last week...seems to be stock. just a casual wave to one another on the highway as i went by. Anyone know who that is? I passed the lightning yellow on the interstate as well but it was on the other side of me, and ive seen a few ti grey but unsure if they are modded. It seems I have a knack for spotting them but not being in the right place at the right time to talk to them haha Hey mike, i used stainless cleaner and toothpaste beleive it or not, let it heat up and scrubbed it with wool...left no scratches and took all that buildup off my exhaust tips, looks shiny and new so ill keep this dual until i can afford another....Im a huge fan of the titanium burnt tip look, the megan racing and agency power really catch my eye if i was to stay dual and not go single...for now i might go the cheap route and keep the resonated axle back on there, and get a mid pipe, dual resonated of course. half the price of new exhaust, plus extra volume and fire!!

Wow, all of that was just crud? I was afraid it was black paint.
Great job!!

The VR you spotted... did it happen to be a lady about my age, you think??
There is a cute lady driving a VR Sport (AT) that lives in West Gate and works at Kroger here. Don't know her, but her daughter stops me all the time and gives my car the "once around".

What's the word with your overheating issue?

BTW: Agency Power exhausts are not cheap.

I'll txt you soon.

It was the thermostat, replaced with a autozone unit and I have been able to rev it out all day with no needle movement or anything watsoever and seems to run alot stronger without all the heatsoak i was probably experiencing, no this was a male driver, also spotter a teal greenish blue colored 8 in st albans, looked stock and was parked at the easy street bar a couple days ago...not sure what the color code is for that color sorry for the vague discription haha Im gonna just go single exit with dual resonated until i cant take the noise anymore, cant get it outta my head to do this setup. I just have a thing for single exit exhaust on stock dual cars...never been a dual guy whatsoever. Finally got my oil changed and im never slacking on that again i was about 700 over a change, and it feels so much smoother now, even smoother than it already runs.

Hey, that's great!
Who did the R&R for you?
I've seen that car before, I think in Dunbar.
I won't knock you for running a single exit exhaust!

BTW: I sent you a PM...

Yeah, I'm out and about a lot, and try to find every excuse possible to make it down to Summit Point when I have the cash. I also like to go driving around Harper's Ferry in my free time. You'll know it's me because my exhaust can be heard from space and usually give other RX-8 drivers big waves. Give me a honk and a wave next time you see me!

Never been to the Deals Gap Rally, but I'll go to just about anything I can afford. I'm all about car hangouts. You're coming up to Frederick on the 15th for the BBQ, correct?

When the Apocalypse finally happens I'll be all like "WHOA what was that?! Oh it was just Chris driving by..."

I still haven't really been to Harper's Ferry, everyone keeps telling me I should go. Are the roads nice? or do you just like the city?

Yeah, the flames do lend credence to that. The other night I popped one off that was so big it actually startled me; it came up over the rear spoiler and around the side of the car. I can only imagine what the guy behind me thought.

Probably

Harper's Ferry is just beautiful (See photo from a random Flickr account: View from Jefferson Rock, Harpers Ferry, WV | Flickr - Photo Sharing!). The roads are all twisting mountain/country roads with gorgeous back drops of mountains, rivers, old forests, etc. I'm a big fan of scenery when I'm driving, and Harper's Ferry offers some of the best in the area. Plus, Summit Point isn't that far down the road.

We'll have to pop out there some Sunday. I want to do some scouting for this cruise I'm planning.

Yeah let me know when... I would love to go out and see some cool roads. I have a gutted cat in the basement that I have been meaning to slap on for awhile now. Do you notice that the exhaust smells really bad like many people say?

Oh yeah! It smells like you're at a gas station the moment you turn it on. You can smell it for a good ways back from the car on the highway as well. A lot of my friends complain about it, but I've always liked the smell.

I'll let you take it for a spin and see if it bugs you or not.

I was at this past hyperfest, though I wasn't there that long. I watched the Lemon's race, which was very entertaining. Other than that though I wasn't super impressed. There was a cool copper/black RX-8 there though.

Yeah I kind of agree, but didn't want to offend anyone. It's nice, just not my thing. That was the only 8 I saw there, and yes it was really expensive to me (for what it was). Also waiting in line for and hour to get in didn't do anything to help me appreciate it either.

Speaking of Ferraris and Lamborghinis, would anyone be interested in getting a group together to go to Katie's Cars & Coffee one morning?

Katie's Cars & Coffee - Great Falls - #1 Cars & Coffee in the DMV

From what I understand, there tends to be a pretty good showing of exotics and other rare cars, plus all the other fun stuff you see at normal meets.

--I'll be posting this in the MD thread too--
