SPOTTED:
Another black 8 in Charleston, WV.

The driver looked as surprised as I did...
We did exchange waves.

Man, you must be the only WVa RX8 owner with a computer! I responded because this past fall I spent a couple of days in my 8 tooling around the loop at Snow Shoe ski resort. If you've ever been there you know what I mean by the "loop". If you've not been there, you gotta go, get off your keester! Some really great twisties up there!!

I think you're right, (or the only one not on dial-up AOL) .
Thanks for dropping in.

I used to be a regular down at Snowshoe (just over 1 hr. away), haven't been down in my 8 yet. Probably a blast, as you said.
Lots of nice twisties and radical passing opportunities all over around here.

I did the summit of Hawks Nest a few times back in October though. I had the sensation of being on 3 wheels sometimes!

Come up Summersville way (but don't speed). I'm the only 8 in Summersville and I'm Lightning Yellow!! Did my buying at Raines in S. Charleston so I see some of you guys when I'm down that way for service. I have seen one other yellow in Charleston.

Don't ever check into these threads but was excited to see a WV thread!! Cool!

Today I passed a spotless Brilliant black on I-79 near the Beckley exit. May have been out of state. Gosh, it looked clean. Mine is bad dirty at the moment. We had snow yesterday!!

Wow, I'm not out here alone!!
There IS hope...
Thanks for checking out this thread, I have been trying to raise some WV drivers for a while (as you can see).
Great driving down there too, I know.

You see more 8's than I do around here.
I run past an occasional 8, but have yet to meet any other owners other than Murphy (Silver '04), a guy that I knew previously.
I'll be sure to let you know when I'm down that way. Also, if you would, let me know when you come back up to Raines and we'll get together.
Thanks again for posting!!,
Mike

The only driving I've had the pleasure to do in WV was a track day last fall at Summit Point, Shenandoah Circuit. Wish I had more time to hit some fun mountain roads. :-)

Spotted

Spotted in Poca WV about 6:30 PM today, Silver appears to be stock.
Driver knows "the wave", hope to see you out there.

I had an incredible drive in the mountains today, lots of grinning.

Hey, there you are...
Got a bra now, huh? Good man.
Hope to get a few others together, but no matter what, we'll make the most out of it... maybe crash a couple of carshows?
See you soon!
Mike

Welcome wags,
Good to see another owner come out.
I know that you're having a blast in the new car, nice huh??

So far, not many friendly owners seen on the street near Charleston, hope you have better luck.

I will look you up when I am in the eastern part of the state.
Keep in touch & thanks for posting,
Mike

Okay, now I am confused. I thought the only inhabited city in West Virginia was Wheeling. Add me to the list Airlock...and it's not that we don't have computers, because we were able to purchase them from the President's tax breaks...we just aren't sure how to talk into them yet.

Oh, BTW, titanium gray, POW/MIA sticker on the driver's side window...if you ever come north.

Good one papipito!
Welcome and thanks for the confirmation of 8 owners with computers!
I'll let you know when I head that way. Got a friend in Steubenville that I visit when going to/from Pittsburgh.
Nice driving up that way too!, been to Oglebay several times, once by chopper.

A couple more and we may be able to plan an event!!!

For anybody who's interested, Mazdadrivers.com has a High-Speed Driver's Education scheduled for Summit Point, Shenandoah Circuit, September 9-10, 2006. I ran with them at Shenandoah last fall, and it was a BLAST!

Thanks, I'll have to remember that Paul.
Sounds like lots of fun up at Summit Point.

Still trying to get some 8 drivers together in the mountains.
