Thinking of buying Mazda Official compression tester, anybody wanna test their engine?

Im seriously thinking about it, cuz I will be building a new engine for my FC in the coming months. might be a good time to start gathering parts. Engine Compression tester is one of them.

Im thinking if I do get it and someone wants to do a compression test, I can do it for them, it will be cheaper than doing at dealership, and it will be 99.9999% accurate cuz its official tester. thinking maybe 25 bux for each test.

Anybody think they need/want to do a compression test ?

Curious...............have you looked into https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ression+tester

I know several that have it and have used it with expected results. Sadly, I'm not one that has it, but I know who to contact if I ever need it!

Not sure it's still available and only linking as an FYI.

Look at the Rotary Diagnostics tester...it does good tests....is a bit more complex to use...but you get more information that the Mazda tester as well

http://rotarydiagnostics.com/

Lawrence is also a great guy and stands behind the product like I've never seen before.

PM me if you want a recommendation..

PS: a lot of the race teams use this tester...I think Speedsource does as well

And it is about 1/4 of the Mazda testers price

yeah, I read that long time ago.

but im thinking, Mazda's tester is probably the most durable and accurate, and one tester will probably be good for a long *** while ... even Atkins Rotary been using the same Mazda tester for the past 20+ years. so its all good I guess.

To the rest of the guys ---- I have to fix some stuff on the car and will probably start gathering parts list next week, I will order the compression tester at the same time. will keep u guys post.

cool.

Well, official Mazda tester cost like 1.6-7 K with Tax and ****, I hope I can use this Tester for the next Rotary Engine or anything after ... Cuz who knows what will Mazda do to the next Engine, if they change the spark plug design/threads then this thing might become useless. lol !

I just updated some engine parts info for the FC. Damn, Completely next parts with Ceramic Apex, FD corner springs and side seals, etc. are going into the 7-8 K range ~ w00t lol ! I am going to get NRS's Ceramic Apex probably next week. can't wait.

anyway, I will keep u guys post.

Can i has nao plz.

I am sure if you take this to a large meet, you will have people lining up to do it. Even people that are hesitant on paying the small sum of money will jump the bandwagon out of curiosity .
