Well, the Greddy is the cheapest kit out there, and I think it has a decent amount to offer for being the cheapest...
A lot of people have it and the fixes for the problems are not hard to do or find, as long as you can do a bit of DIY
Give this a read for example ... although if you plan on using COBB (as I would reccomend), not all of this applies to you

The DIY https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-ultimate-diy-greddy-turbo-bhr-coils-aem-intake-mod-boost-control-195786/
OR ... you can get the MM upgraded greddy turbo too ... that puts you at 300 whp+ I believe AND it fixes quite a bit of problems of what is wrong with the Greddy kit....

The Pettit supercharger is a somewhat popular route too, but I don't really have info on it as I want to go turbo...
give me some more details for what you are looking for?
something for AUTOX with a short spool time?
OR
some big HP numbers?
this might be for you then http://www.esmerilracing.com/RX-8_Turbo_Kit.html

What's your budget?
read this (this is a must read if you plan on going FI) http://www.rotaryinsider.com/faq-tac...cost-gap62.htm
you can always build a custom kit for what you are looking for, but that is a bit more tricky ... do you have the tools/ confidence to do so? Then give this a read .... This will be the cheapest option

to choose ur turbo .... MM also posted some excel sheets for claculating renesis flow rates (somewhere...) that you will need to read compressor maps and choose a turbo if going the custom route (HERE https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/rotary-math-106294/)

Greddy isnt terrible you can look for 240-260 reliably and boosting at 6-7 psi above that will need work. You will also need to do the fixes for the kit as well as get all of the supporting mods to do it right. You could even do the BNR upgraded turbo Gregs on the board has it and puts down around 290 on a dyno. Its not a terrible kit the reason so many fail is the turbo isnt meant to be a 300hp driver and people always want more. There were some nice used kits floating around the boards not to long ago. I would do some HW before you jump in the FI boat
PS the MM turbo can put down 400 when done right.
AL give me a super special price on the shifter lol I miss it. did you solve your transmission issue?
