I'm still confused at the whole thing.
The first map run wants you to do this:

On manual transmission-equipped vehicles, this will be performed in 4th gear.
Once you are up to 4200 RPM, turn on your A/C, headlamps and rear defroster and set the cruise control to hold your speed. On vehicles with no cruise control, hold the vehicle speed as constant as you can with the gas pedal.
11) Press the "OK" button again to start the data-log and continue to cruise for a minimum of 30 seconds.
12) Press the "OK" button again to stop the log and return to your starting location.

Its saying go to 4th gear and start the datalog -- the thing that i don't get is do i redline it through 1st 2nd and 3rd and stop at 4200 RPM in 4th gear? If not what RPM do i switch at in 1st 2nd and 3rd?


Then for the 2nd map run he wants you do to this:

16) When your RPMs have dropped to 3500, once again accelerate at WOT to redline or to the highest safe speed you can attain.

Again i guess we do the same-thing at the start then he says to lower your RPMs to 3000 in 2nd so im assuming he means drop down to 2nd gear from 4th and then redline it to 9k but dont shift and let your RPMs drop down.....Thats where im confused again -- drop down to what RPM? and then switch to 3rd and do a Redline but what RPM am i supposed to switch to 3rd on?

Also--Side note: You know ill be at the meet -- Doesn't matter if its raining, hailing, snowing, shining doesn't matter - ill be there

He tells you right there.

Step 11 is datalogging for the cruise map. (open loop afr) Just do what he says to do and maintain cruise for 40 seconds at 4200rpm in 4th. That is one log.

The second log is steps 13-16.

Start the log, be at 3000rpm in second and go all the way to redline. Go into 3rd and let rpm's drop to 3500 and WOT in 3rd to redline. End log.

Still didn't answer my questions.

The cruise at 4200rpm in 4th is one log by itself...

my oil pan bolt is stripp any body know a way to get it out??? need to change my oil...
also need help puttling in my ms spoiler...

Ok and here we go again -- I know the cruise is at 4200 and is 1 log (i dont even get to the 2nd part until i get the new map) BUT am i shifting at 4200RPM up to 4th?

So driving in 1st gear switch at 4200 and so on until i get to 4th? Thats what im asking WHAT RPM DO I SHIFT AT like redline 1st and switch gears at 4200RPM on 2nd and 3rd? I just wanna know this cause MM will reject my logs if its not completely correct.

Cause lets say im running my car hard, if i switch at low RPMs in 1st or 2nd my car will run slow cause i didnt redline. If i redline all the way to 4th and cruise at 4200 all the gears will be maxed and ill be doing crazy speeds

How stripped? Have you tried using penetrants to help?

yo juansito i dont think it matters how you get to 4200rpm in 4th. thats what i understand from reading the procedure. but what do i know

I agree with Noodle. If you start logging at 4200rpms, then it shouldn't matter how you got there before right? As far as the AFR goes, that's RPM based on your ECU?

I hope it doesn't rain much ... I just washed my car on Monday. My hands and hamstrings are still massively sore from 2 hours of claybar..

It's stripp pretty bad the 19mm socket don't even get a grip... It's super tight it's getting me fustrated...

I think I need to paint a picture for you.. IT DOESN'T SAY YOU NEED TO GO THROUGH THE GEARS.

JUST GET YOUR CAR TO ABOUT 4200 REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE in 4th GEAR WITH THE HEADLIGHTS, DEFROST, AND CRUISE ON AND THEN LOG FOR 35 SECONDS.

Why would it matter how you get to 4th if you weren't logging?

No, you are absolutely correct.

JUST GET TO ******* 4200RPM in 4TH AND START THE DATALOG, END IN 35 SECONDS.
