Hey Guys ( & gals)
Long time no speak. (especially to Sol & Kenny)

Im Jim. Got the Turbo WWP RX8 with 13b FD motor swap.
Obviously we are all in hibernation till the warm weather hits for the meets to startup again.
I currently run the Hemi Shop @ Westbury Jeep Chrysler. My main car is a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 (love it just as much as my rx8) and am feeling out a new idea. If you guys ever need any minor performance work/upgrades, etc done and have no where else to go.. You can bring it by me and Ill give you a fair price to do installs. If theres something I cant handle for ya, Ill simply tell you. Not really big on the rx8 forums, So PM me ir Call me. Hope to all see you in the spring or in the shop. Not trying to step on anyones toes or claim myself to be a rotary guru, just offering an option to the community for minor installs & repairs.

Thanks
-Jim

You wusses.
My car operates year round, granted I can't get around in mounds of snow with summers so I don't even try, but everything else is fine. You'd be surprised how capable the car is in the winter. Hell look at the canadians in their -25F weather daily driving the RX8.
Oh and I just mounted my Hankook V12's a week or so ago, they are amazing.

Infiniti. Equivalent MPG to the RX8 and fuel filter was replaced a loooong time ago. Helped me put less than 2000 miles on the 8 in 2010 . Shooting for <1000 in 2011

Starting my collection early. Might sent it west bound to my sister for storage and acquire a gen1 Miata.

The car can handle the snow, you just can't drive it with summer tires. (I know, I took it up to KDR/Speed1 just 2 weeks ago). btw: Jim, I saw your car there (at least I think it was your 8) lol.

soo what's everyone been doing this winter?

Yea. Its there. getting a few more upgrades done and a few issues straightened out. Dave @ Speed1 is still my go-to guy for the rx.

Check to see if you dropped anything in the fan/radiator space. I worked on a friends rx8 and pulled out a melted roll of electrical tape stuck between fan & rad. He shrugged and said, OH THERE IT IS!
Same issue, overheat of knowhere and fan not spinning on one side. Melted fan and motor and blue the 40amp fuse in power dist. center
