New to RX-8s. Going to buy one tomorrow in Manassas VA -- any help?
Hi,
First time posting. Going to Manassas tomorrow after finally finding a 2009 with low miles. first 2009 or higher and have been looking for 8 weeks.
Can anyone recommend a shop in Manassas that might do a quick once over for me before I purchase this?
I know it's short notice but I don't want to let this slip away.
Thanks.
edit:---- Oh wanted to say I am from Baltimore so not only do I not know about RX-8s but I also don't know Manassas.

Welcome.
Are you buying from a private owner or dealership?
Get a rotary specific compression test at a local dealership.
If It's a private owner ask them to get it done and if it passes, you'll pay for it.

Don't rush it. If you can't get it inspected, don't buy it. RX-8s aren't exactly flying out of their owners' hands.
Main thing to look for on your test drive is to try to drive until it's warmed up, then turn it off and turn it back on immediately. It should restart easily, like any other car. If it doesn't, walk away.

Brown or Rosenthal Mazda is the only one I know of now that Ray Whitney's shop is no longer.
