googlemap had me take I-66 all the way in and then connect to I395 and then 295 and then Pennsylvania Ave then Rt 50. But I think I may actually be *faster* if i just go around the northern loop of the Beltway... during non-rush hour that is

 

and actually friday night would work, since I work in Falls Church VA and I can just come out from there, save me about 40 minutes of driving right there

not this friday though, i'm going to Summit Point this weekend for track days

 

I wouldnt do it this friday because I want to get the word around and see about getting more 8's out there. I know for a fact if a bunch of 8 roll up in there we would get all the attention and prob noone would race LOL. Its fun sitting in the stands watching everyone stare at my ride when i go down with my friends LOL. Oh and if Shawn gets up in there and starts to dominate with the turbo it would be EVEN BETTER LOL.

Well this sucks, 2 of the main people wont come because one hates capital and the other is a little far from there…hmmm. Well I want to find something everyone can come to and be Rent A Cop free but here is the dilemma I am in. We have Zoom in Winchester, VA and on the complete opposite end (Eastern Shore) we have Steakboy. Now respectively speaking most of us are in the Baltimore / DC vicinity which is sorta the middle. So I am truly clueless on what to do. Anyone got ideas for another meet? Oh, random off topic question…. Anyone going to the renaissance festival?

Hey anyone up for a small simple meet at like a fuddruckers, fridays or copelands or something? They have places in annapolis, columbia and mogo county. Just an idea since it had been mentioned before.

I'm going this weekend on sunday. I would go sat and sunday but I have a wedding to be at. I do go multiple times a year so I think I could go again when your down there... Just remind me.

And yes I am HOOKED on rennfest. In high school I never knew what it was but always heard about it and kinda blew it off because I thought it was a "geek" thing until I went once. My god that place is awsome. I am actually trying to convince my job (i work for ABC in DC) to do a story on it for one of the newscasts too. I think it would be awsome to have some positive news out there for once ya know?

I don't mind going to capital, I've been there before. Usually myself and a couple friends try to go there on Fridays. Not this weekend since I'll be going to Formula D in New Jersey. If you guys ever plan to go I'll be there. I also run 15s, but that okay with me. It's a fun experience just to get on the track.

 

Do you go in garb? I'd like to hang with you when I go. Right now like I said, I'll be there Oct. 7 & 8. I'll be camping at a local campsite starting the night of the 6th.

some ideas:
if we go down towards MoCo, there is a restaurant called Timpanos near White Flint Mall. friday nights usually have a bunch of cars/bikes meet up. i've been there a couple times and had the cops chase us out. lots of cops in that area anyway.

arundel mills area is still the best spot. it's right off of 295 and close to 95. but instead of meeting up at the mall parking lot, we're better off meeting around the mall. like the circuit city parking lot or the wal-mart lot. there is also Hoyt's Movies off of west nursery road in linthicum. HUGE lot, majority of the time, it's empty and no one around to bother us. that's also right off of the 295.

annapolis isn't a bad idea. we could meet up at the fuddruckers across the street from the annapolis mall. or the parking lot area near best buy/safeway.

if columbia is the better choice, Snowden River Parkway's Best Buy/Home Depot lot is good. the United Artist theater lot is pretty nice (can watch a movie after the meet). the usual fuddrucker's meet off of Dobbin Road. or the lot near Red Robin/Long Horn. Columbia Mall would be a nice spot too, but i don't know how the rent a cop situation is over there. i say the very top of a parking garage would be awesome.

all these places are good, just gotta choose one.

 

No i havent done that yet but I am thinking about it.
