Mandy, what shop does your father own? and where? if it's performance related i would be interested in applying for a part time job. working in a dealership every single day gets kind of routine...i need a little bit of change.

 

they pretty much do everything; paint jobs, body work, engine work, and they do a lot of auto-restoration. they're working on a Datsun and an old school VW bug at the moment, and will be restoring a Mach1 Mustang in the near future. I'll talk to him to see if they're hiring, I know he's been looking for some help.

elkridge...that's not too far from my house. i'm a full time tech at a dealership, so i have experience. just looking for some extra work that's fun...extra cash wouldn't be so bad either. got to many things i want for my 8.

Oh one other thing... a buddy of mine Pat Goss (Motorweek host & master technician, Washington post contributer, BG products spokes person etc) will probably drop by for a burger or two on sunday. He is a pretty cool dude and lord knows he has saved me from ******* up my car many times in the 6 years ove been working with him LOL. I think it will be pretty cool to have him there especially since there are going to be a few gear heads and hopefully some of the people from here down there. I just hope his schedule allows him some time to swing on by

As Dan-o-mite and I have discussed via PM, what about a trek up to Wall, NJ, for the Formula D event in September? I went last year and was the only modified 8 there - extremely hard to believe but true. The show was awesome, you can cruise the pit area and actually talk to most of the drivers, and do I have to mention the Falken Tire umbrella girls??? Didn't think so... The info on the event is on the Formula D web site, but I'm waaaaaay too tipsy to link the url. I'm going with a couple of friends, one of which is the GTO guy some of you saw at Arundel Mills. ANy others interested? sillygrl10 maybe? bakit hindi?? hahaha!
