NE NJ local meets on Tuesday nights
Have any exhaust mods upstream?
I have had a rattle in my exhaust for about a year and a half. Never really had the time to bother pulling my catback to shake it out, and I know that it's part of the resonator from one of BHR's original prototype pipes. Was borrowing it from the original tester for a few weeks while I waited for the new cat to arrive, and while I had it, I heard very clearly a high pitched buzzing at idle that slowly grew louder, and as I gave it gas to back out of my driveway, you could hear the piece snap off and rattle back.
And it's too large to fit past the kink to fall into the can, but the only way it moves forward is under braking. And it doesn't take much exhaust flow to push it back again. Now that I have the garage, I'll probably yank the catback to shake it out finally.

i took the exhaust off, (thank god its not a dual) took about 5 minutes. i tried shaking it and nuttin' was coming out, nothing was loose, i couldnt hear anything either when i tried violently shaking it to the point of smacking my knee with it and causing some pain.
so i started the car without the can, ( i dont know what to call this pipe... but it leads from the cat to the pipe with the can) and im just running with that pipe. Its...pretty loud.. i might get pulled over for it, but its nowhere as godly as when i took that intermediate pipe off and had the exhaust ending at the cat.
the only downside that i see being a problem is that it is letting out the exhaust air very close if not directly onto my diff cover, and i hope that doesnt create any damage.
ive had so much bad luck with my RR single.. first the pipe is bent, then the tips Ti finish had a fingerprint brush strokes in it, and now this. If i were to do it over again i might have just gotten the hks. If these kinks were worked out the RR single is a good price.

I left early with alex due to his accident with a maxima literally outside of the meet.
BTW.. sinned... you made my night. I FIT IN A SUNROOFED FD! surprisingly the difference between the sunroof and non sunroof R1/base is not as much of a difference than the rx8 with and without a sunroof.
but daaaamn those FD doors weighed literally 50lbs. I wasnt expecting that at all, the rx8 doors practically close themself when open.
as i was leaving i saw 10 more rx8s and i think goodfellas rx7 but i wasnt able to meet you guys. I was talking to another rx8 guy and he said hes bringing his bridgeported FB next thursday so im down for next thursday if you want to do it again.

Sucks I didn't get a chance to meet you guys, that accident totally messed up my night, my first one out of the 4 years of driving too.
Everyone was alright, I just was lucky that I ended up not seeing the lady due to a blindspot and destroyed the side of her car.
Eric's right, my 8 only ended up with about 3 dents, 17x10's or not I'm still in shock that it was only that much damage.

AHHH F'u guys... I get no more calls??? I dont be checking the forums as often to check for meets bumsSs. As of Sunday i have a Final to take I probably wont get out till 11:30. I can shoot out to meet you guys since I drive at Mac3 speed.
