New stock twins that are kept under 12lbs of boost will not just go bad. I think the problem is that you won't keep it at that level. New twins will also cost you an arm and a leg. Used turbos will always bust earlier than you want. IMO, the cheapest way to make an FD reliable is to...

-Source a reputable motor that was just rebuilt
-New turbos
-Refresh everything in the engine bay
-Reliability mods
-Upgrade IC
-Water injection (ultimate reliability)
-Get that reliable tune

This is not the best bang for the buck though as this is still pretty pricey and your power ceiling is extremely low but if you keep that setup and keep boost at stock or slightly higher than stock levels, this setup will last a very long time.

 

Could you break 300 whp with that? How hard is it to rebuild the stock twins? How expensive?
