Yeah the OEM wheels are 8" wide and have a +48 offset.
The wheels I will be selling won't have tires on them.
There are a few sets up for sale in the for section with tires though!

From what I see, the rx8 wheels with tires wont ever sell for $350 right? UGH. I think at some point I have to consider putting the money for the RPF1s. Ideally I want to get beaten up wheels (holds air) with tires that have some tread on there. I'll have to think about this . Freaking ninja wheels.

 

I hope your not going to dump a fortune into this one at a shop like u did the other one, nows the opportunity to actually learn the car, it's not like you won't have tons of support from all of us

Hahah no, fortunes will be dumped. Maybe a small fortune. Thats one of the reasons I got the car actually. I'd like to work on it a little. I also want to see what it takes to build a car on a tight budget but who knows what will happen. I may just leave the car as is for a while. I like it the way it is now. I figure I could at least do my M2 intake install myself. That stock airbox aint doing me any favors.

This is true. I managed to keep alot of things that I needed though. I shouldn't have sold my flyrx7 gauge pod. The worst thing I sold was my RPF1s but I needed the money temporarily for the Spirit R wheels anyway. Other than that, I have my M2 Large handy and an M2 intake now! I may sell the M2 large and go Blitz FMIC though. I'm not sure.

Yes my friend! I bought the ugliest beater imaginable. I mean WOW. Its a huge turd. Ugliest wheels I have ever seen.

Maybe you're right. I have alot of tough decisions to make. I talked with Abdul about this to but it seems like Rx8 wheels have a floor of around that much so using them as a temporary set isn't a bad idea and they do look good. I just worry that it won't be easier to sell later on. I'd rather find a set I can keep for a long time though but for right now, it looks like Rx8 wheels + tires is the best temporary solution.

I think it has more to do with having a car I don't mind getting rock chips on. I love my replica but I hate driving it to the city and in mediocre weather. I need a car I can abuse along with a car I baby. It is also nice having a second car to drive while its at the shop (bodyshop time is coming, it needs a last round of paint correction and touch up and they take a long time).

Dude let me know. Actually all of us can help you out. What is his budget? There is an AMAZING FD thats for sale now. If I knew about it before I wouldn't have bought the beater and would have tried to scrape together the money for this one. I'm no better at buying FDs than anyone else here but I'll definitely try to help.

I may not make the best decisions but I do make the most FUN ONES!!! I'll pay for this some how though. I know it. It used to be an automatic. The conversion was done well but the gear ratios feel very funny and I think the car feels slower because of it. Dude the shifter is sloppier than a wizard's sleeve (vagine)! Sometimes I don't even know what gear I'm in. I'll put it in 3rd and it just limps down like its in 2nd hahaha. This is even more confusing because of the gear ratios but I do love it even though its the worst piece of **** ever!!

Like I said to stink, man there is a ******* awesome FD for sale right now. Its 19k but it is well worth it. I haven't seen a deal this good in a while. BUY IT!!! It needs to be in TNC.

heres the deal. I will sell them to you now for 450 plus the ugly wheels. providing you keep them in decen t shape I will buy them back at the end of the season. I like being able to take the car out on the clear winter days evey once in a while. and this way I can get my body kit now. so it almost like i'm loaning them to you.
