Well its almost about that time. Bear mountain meet is in full effect.

Due to no / little response to the food list, everyone is in charge of there own food. We will have two grills and coolers. So you can use the grill to make your own food.

We have about 25 cars or so at this time that are planning to attend the meet.

Do note the parking lot 2, $6 entrance fee per car.

The meet will begin at 9am.

Do note there is a caravan leaving NYC at 8am sharp. The direction are posted on www.nyrotary.com. Meet up location is 92nd Street and Astoria Blvd in East Elmhurst Queens, 11369.

The caravan is the BEST part of any meet. So please join us. Suck it up and wake up early. Dont use HIN /Nighshift as an excuse. I will be attending both events (HIN/Bear MTn).

Remember this is for you UPSTATE NY Guys so ya have to represent. We want to show ya that we got love for you guys outside of NYC.

So we will hold another meet there next year, when you guys that attend spread the word and we get an ever bigger following.

The NYC / LI meets started with 7 cars now were up to 44 cars. So the upstate spots will start off small, but once ppl know we REAL, the meets will get bigger. And participation works great!

So hook it up and see ya there

HEADS UP: Our last meet will be September 17th at the Flushing Meados Park in Queens NYC. This has become a very popular spot for the meets, so we want to hold a close to home meet before the fall officially starts and rotarys begin there winter project / storage phases.

The new college semester starts for me, so i will still be available but not as much as i have been this summer (2006).

For those who didnt get my email

Hey guys,

Just wanted to give you guys a reminder for this sundays NYRA bear
mountain meet. The meet will begin at 9:00am. Why so early you ask, well
parking. Bear Mtn is a very hot spot since its so close to NYC. So we
would like to arrive there early and collect as many parkings spots as
possible for the people that will come later. So if everyone arrives early
we wont need to worry and all our cars can be parked next to one
another.

For those of you who wish to Caravan from New York City and Long
Island. Here are the directions again and the location where the caravan will
meet up at 7:30am.

There will be a caravan leaving NYC for the NYC and LI guys.

Leaving 8am sharp from 92nd street, and Astoria blvd in East Elmhurst
Queens (BURGER KING PARKING LOT). The zip code is 11369. Local highways
are Whitestone Expressway to Astoria or Grand Central Parkway to 94th
Street towards astoria.

1. We will take either Queensboro bridge (Save $4.50) or Triboro Bridge
to FDR drive North. Well decide this at the caravan spot.

2. Take FDR to harlem river drive north to George Washington Bridge
(Upperlevel)

3. Exit 74 towards Palisades Interstate Parkway.

4. Take it till the Highway ends , you must pass exit 19 for 1.5 miles

5. You will hit the round about, make a right towards haverstraw.

6. As you go up the hill there will be a traffic light. Stay to the
right of the fork.

7. Continue uphill and park at the second parking lot (LOT 2, pass the
lodge)

*Bring your own directions going home, i may not leave at the same time
your leaving.

FOOD FOOD FOOD

Well the food list wasnt fulfilled. Not enough people responded. So
please BYOF (Bring your own food). We will have two grills with us, your
more than welcome to use them. We have a barter system, if you have
something and would like to try something else you can trade with someone.

The meet should be approximately 25 Rotary powered vehicles.

CLUB MERCHANDISE: Support the Club

Stickers will be sold at the meet. They will cost $5 each. They bear
our logo which can be found on www.nyrotary.com

Please contact us thru AIM, email so we can add you to the N.Y.R.A
registry on the website.

Spread the website and forum to anyone that you know that has a rotary
powered vehicle.

Got AIM?

Please get AIM, its free and it will allow us to talk to everyone
within the club. So if theres a local guy that lives next to you and you
would like to contact them, AIM is a pretty good way since 98% of the
members have aim. Update your profile on the club forums and enjoy.

This is going to be a nice meet. Sunday looks great, low humidity,
sunshine, no rain, and rotaryz!

Feel free to bring your Wifey, Wife, Kids, Partners, and boys/girls.

See ya there.

Thanks

Thanks to someone in a red FC I got pulled over by a state trooper on the Palisades on the way there, which was the beginning highlight of my day(I was the ONLY person to get pulled over in the caravan from Queens/LI, he he). Thank god the trooper was understanding, cool, and in total agreement with me in that there's no way an FD owner would ever blatantly disregard him being there, accelerate up to 80 mph, and switch lanes right in front of him like a crazed Puerto Rican FC owner. The state trooper concurred in total agreement with me and let me go, hahaha. It was cool to meet up with a whole new set of fellow RX8 guys, nice meeting you.

The funny story about the muslim ppl bothering us.

lITTEL kids begging me for hotdogs and hamburgers when i was grilling some stuff for the ppl that came to the meet. I told em the hotdogs had pork after they were bothering me for 10 minutes

I was like you dont ask strangers for food thats not right. Go ask your parents for hotdogs.

She was like we dont have hotdogs.

I was like iight, well these are squirrel burgers and bird dogs made from real pigeons. She was like oh well

I was like sometimes if ure lucky you get an eyeball and a beak in each meal.

She was like im not allergic to birds or squireels. I was like well they got pork (since i know muslims cant eat pork)

Those 3 lil kids were like EWL that nasty, thats gross, thats disgusting. And they bounced.

Then i went to my car and got a some coldcuts i got earlier. So i took ham to the table so if they came back i was gonna chuck ham on them hahaa. (GARLIC to vampires)

Then some other muslim guy came to our table. And was like is this ure stuff. We was like nah its those people right tehre. He was like can i move these items. I was like there not our items to move or ures, you cant move them. I said to him "Why do u want to move them", he was like, well we need more tables and we are going to use this and that table for our food.

I said hold up, you mean ure taking this table that WE ARE SITTING ON, you cant take this table, your not gonna move us. He turned away and avoided my eye contact. I was heated, wtf were sitting on the table and ure gonna tell me to my face your gonna use it. what your gonna physically remove me.

I said again, yo my man what u mean u taking this table cant you see were sitting on this table. Guy was fresh man, dude walked away. ******!.

He later took the table once we moved out, but they had a hard time removing the peices of ham i put on the table. I put it there to ward them off. I guess they got over it hahaah

Im mean lol.

Dont think im racist ppl , my girls family is muslim, arab, columbian. These ppl were just fresh ppl and i used what i could to bother them cuz they were being rude to our patrons!

I was also screaming, who wants a bacon burger, who wants pork hot dogs just to **** with them!

Meet looked excellent. Midlifer - nice engine bay - cool real flames - truely ol'skool on a new school whip (well I guess the 13B is old skool....).

Oh and Jason...

I'm Jewish - I take crazy mad offence to your pork jokes.
