Either way driving across the bay bridge during the day will be hell in june on a weekend. Best times will be between 1am-7am.


I am cool with a meet in annapolis that should be fine. Only problem, there is a lot of people in annapolis and finding a good spot to meet with a decent parking space will be hard.

Question is though, would people be ok with a crab shack or do they want sushi?

Well we can do what we did last year and have the meet at KI then you can go off to OC for the night.

We will need rory to help cook again ,

It will be more expensive at a resturant and we will feel more rushed.


At least that way, leaving from KI to OC is a much pleasant drive than annapolis to OC. Since you already tackled the bridge.

Yea let me know about the next meet as well. Is it going to be another crab meet on Kent Island with the option to drive down to Ocean City afterward? Or did you MD guys think of something else?

 

I think is gonna be down the shore in Ocean City I believe on the 19th which is the 3rd weekend of the month

I won't have my car by then. I stopped at Faulkner today, and after they got the bumper off they found a lot more damage, including frame damage. Good news: still saying it's not totalled, actually called it a "cakewalk" to fix. Bad news: they might have to cut out part of the quarter panel and replace?!?!?!?!

I'm going to go post pics from the garage in the thread about getting hit.

 

we should do a crab meet on saturday then option to drive to OC after for the night. To have the meeting in OC is just to far for everyone not staying.

 

I think we should do this meet on the 19th. That way everyone can be back for Father's day. We had a good turnout for the Kent Island Meet so I see no reason to not do that again this year. I think that if anything we should try to do the meet earlier in the day to avoid the heat and traffic. That will give everyone plenty of time to get home. Regardless we need to get a time, date, and location established this week sometime. The 19th will be here very soon.

I think it would be best for everyone to meet in OC rather early, like...EARRRRRRRRLY, so we can avoid bay bridge traffic....

I'll talk to rory for a meeting place like a restaurant or a street number for on the beach etc.

That is the same date as the OC meet, I do think it would be a good idea to try and have it at Kent Island again earlier this time. Then everyone going to the OC meet can leave from there which is about an hour n half from KI. Anyone who is not going to OC can head home for fathers day.


We have one problem and its this here..

If Jess rather have everyone who is going to OC meet up in OC early in the day then the KI meet seems to be pointless. It doesn't make since to split up everyone. There should be a main meet then a after party meet which is OC.

KI meet is a good idea, but what time are you planning on having everyone meet up? I don't know about you, but waiting isn't going to help, the traffic is going to suck...

I have things I need to do and I do not like being designated as the meet coordinator. I will give ideas for discussion, so everyone can agree on what to do. Since there has been little activity on this thread then I suppose OC will be the MD meet this month.

jess- no i do not have the tools to cook crabs or what not. I believe rory does, but since he is going to OC right after he probably does not have time to clean/put away everything.

Maybe we can schedule the KI Crab meet in Sept or next time MD comes around.

 

We need to get more people to come out to this meet, I'm starting to think people should just find any hotel they want and we all meet up at Seacrets.

and since the KI thing is falling through, I'm feeling we should all decide on an early ish time to meet at the park and ride across the bridge...I was thinking around 10 am ish, if anyone has some problems with this, speak now or forever hold your pieces....

Rory said a crab meet and then OC would be too much to do in one day, which is why, I think, he never volunteered to do the crabs...sorry adam
