Ok, new for 2007… Since it’s so hard to get a meet organized with just MD people, I thought I would make things a little more inclusive for the surrounding areas (DC, DE and NoVA) as well to get more people out. I have compiled a list of places for meets that I could think of off the top of my head. As more people read this thread I encourage you to either 1. Post an idea for a place or something and I will modify this first post or 2, pm me and I will edit this first post to include the new locations.

I guess I will kick things off. I say the next meet should be at damons in crofton on Rt.3. This place has plenty of parking, fairly cheap but good food and can accomodate alot of people.

Dover mainly. I'll have to scope out some good spots. there's a wings place that's really awesome with a huge parking lot. the mall of course. applebees, TGIF, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, etc...

Ok here’s the info for the meet on 1/13 (saturday) for those interested in coming out. It’s at Damon’s Grill in lovely Crofton, MD in the Waugh Chapel shopping center. Also attached to this post is the menu for Damon’s. I think anyone who has been to Damon's could agree that it’s not too expensive and the food is damn good. Also one other bonus, this place is open until 1AM, just an FYI.

From DC / NoVA

Merge onto I-395 N via the ramp on the LEFT toward I-295.
1: Keep LEFT to take I-295 S.
2: Keep LEFT to take SOUTHEAST FWY toward PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE.
3: Merge onto PENNSYLVANIA AVE SE.
4: Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto FAIRLAWN AVE SE.
5: Merge onto DC-295 N (Crossing into MARYLAND).
6: Merge onto US-50 E toward ANNAPOLIS / RICHMOND.
7: Take the US-301 / MD-3 exit- EXIT 13A-B-C- toward RICHMOND / CROFTON.
8: Merge onto MD-3 N / N CRAIN HWY via EXIT 13B on the LEFT toward CROFTON.
9: Turn LEFT onto MAIN CHAPEL WAY.
10: Turn LEFT onto BRANDERMILL BLVD.

As an alternate depending where you are in VA, you can take the beltway around towards the Wilson bridge and hop on MD Rt 50 towards Annapolis (exit 19) OR Take the beltway around across the American Legion Bridge (towards 270 / Rockville) to exit MD Rt 50 (exit 19)

From Baltimore: Estimate 20 -25 Miles

1.) Take MD-295 S. and continue to follow MD-295 S.
2.) Merge onto I-695 E / BALTIMORE BELTWAY OUTER LOOP toward KEY BRIDGE / GLEN BURNIE.
3.) Merge onto I-97 S / MD-3 S via EXIT 4 on the LEFT toward ANNAPOLIS / BAY BRIDGE.
4.) Merge onto MD-3 S / CRAIN HWY via EXIT 7 toward BOWIE / ODENTON.
5.) Turn RIGHT onto CHAPEL LAKE DR.
6.) Turn RIGHT onto BRANDERMILL BLVD.

Hey, this looks like its going good. Thanks for starting this thread. I usually don't get out when its cold outside, but if I was going to be in town I think I wouldn't mind to come through, but I won't be around for the next two weekends.

Hopefully there will be another meet soon after I get back.

Does this thread also support caravans to events?

Nothing that's right around the corner yet, but for the past two years I've been going to the Formula Drift events in Wall, NJ and know I'll go again this year. I just thought it would be cool to ride with a group up there.

Also when it gets warmer I will be visiting Capitol raceway and MIR again. Getting groups together for those tracks would be cool.

And, I have yet to attend a D1GP event, but I'm pretty sure I'll be doing that this year since there are two events within reach taking place on the East Coast this year. One in English Town, NJ and another in Chalotte, NC.

I just figured as the months go on I could post the event here and see who's going.
