I have a set in storage (with tires mounted) that I might sell. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.
Sorry about the car, CruzinRX8. How did you hit the curb? Too much loud pedal in the presence of cement? You know curbs have a magnetic attraction to rims, don't you?
Well if Cruzin can't use them, I'm interested. I need track wheels! (Cruzin has dibs until he says he doesn't, of course!)
Spent the weekend on the Shenandoah Circuit at Summit. Tore up my nearly-new Sumitomos pretty good. They perform well, but just don't stay together.
Took some videos if anybody is interested. Note: These files are HUGE. Raw AVI files straight out of my Vado cheapcorder. Might take a while to download. Also some blue language.
Went out with the red group, friend with an FD riding shotgun. Chased down a turbo Miata. Had to cut it short because I was out of gas.

Friend in his modified FD and me playing lead and chase. FD RX-7 and RX-8 are pretty evenly matched on street tires, but I did have to sandbag a bit so he could keep up when I was leading. On Summit main, he would run away and hide easily, but on a busy track like the Shen, the handling of the RX-8 > FD RX-7.

My RX-8 is still completely stock except the B&B muffler.

I'm actually planning an RX-8 g2g at the Mazda dealer I work for. I am the internet sales manager for Cook Mazda in Aberdeen, MD and we've actually been planning to host a g2g for RX8 people. I am this close [ ] to getting my 09 RX-8, but I am going to have to order mine. I will probably place the order in april 09.
If I plan something for first saturday in december...who would come out? We'd have a cook out, discount on parts and service, of course a car show, etc. should be a good time.
...and I am a huge Mazda fan...had a 99 Miata, 04 Miata, 04 Mazda3 and an 88 Mazda 323 GTX. My RX-8 will be #5. I can't wait. I want someone with a 20B to come...
RX7's and RX8's and really, anything with a rotary is welcome. No pistons allowed! ;-)
Give me an idea, shoot me an email and let me know who'd come. [mail]russ@cookautomotive.com[/mail]
Like I said, 1st saturday in December...

Not me, but i bet its the guy that came into my work for service. Single exit, drivers side Apex-i on an angle...VR of course. Gotta be the same guy. Then again, maybe not...was it in Harco/ Aberdeen area?
