hey whats up guys, been a while since ive posted on the forums. Just caught up with the last 30 pages, phew that took a while. Glad to see eveybodys doing good. Except for Floridagirl ofcourse man thats a bummer, bestwishes to ya.

Hey everyone. I'm not new to Maryland, I've been here a year, but I'm looking for some other RX-8 enthusiast to talk or hang out with. Right now my RX-8 is a silver '05 GT model with red and black leather interior, GPS, MT, everything else stock except for my subs I just got recently installed. I live at Ft. Meade in Maryland and I'm in the Army. If there's any events or meets that anyone can inform me of let me know. My email is doctasting@gmail.com.

hey everone, iv lived in MD all my life chevy chase, bethsda, rockville area now and had my titanium 04 for about 3 years, but iv been traveling and never really had a chance to do anything to it or post, but im about to get a ptp turbo put in at peter farrell supercar and was wondering if anyone knew if hes good or not, but besides that hey!

Peter Farrell sold the business years ago to Ray Wilson. Ray just kept the name of the business. If you've ever been there, you'd see first-hand the work they perform there. You'll see FC's, FD's, Supra's, RX-8's, and Ray's own monster 350Z. I took my car there when the Interceptor-X first came out in 2005. I believe I still hold the record for highest rwhp and torque dyno'd Greddy Turbo/Int-X combo. Ray and crew performed the install and tune. They know rotary engines. You'll be in very good hands there.

Wow a thread for MD RX8 owners.... Guess thats me too! I've had my 2005 8 for about a year now. I live in Silver Spring. Just took it to the shop and found out the previous "owner" (car was supposedly stolen from the lot) had hollowed out the cat. The CEL had waited a 8 months to tell me and has been on and off ever since... lol. I'm the older black gentleman with the fro' drivin around smelling up the place with my catlessness.... ha. I just ordered a high flo cat and borla exhaust from rx7store.net. Anyone have a hfc and passed emissions? I've seen a few others around. I have a "I'd rather be pimpin my PC" license plate cover cuz I'm an old PC gaming nerd. My computer is faster than my 8 but I'm looking to remedy that in the near future. Honk if you h8 me!

Do you work near the Thurgood Marshal Building? I think I've seen your car parked outside of there a few times. Near Union Station US Courts AO building.

Oh wait I could have sworn I saw someone on 495 a week or two ago matching that description, that may be where I remember it from. No one would have recognized me since I was driving a 3 at the time.

nah not me, I work in Gaithersburg. But I'm around all over the place. I know I saw that pimpin my PC phrase on an 8 a couple of times I just don't know for sure where, lol.

I know how lame I am for even thinking about this but here is a suggestion:
I have ugly hands so please excuse my meat hooks and yes I own way too many kung-fu movies oh and if you're in an iffy neighborhood you may want to refrain from throwin' up handsigns but... ok this is stupid.... Ok all kidding aside has anyone here ordered anything from RX7store.net? I ordered a highflo cat and borla exhaust from them about a week ago. They just charged my card like monday and I'm waiting on word on if its being shipped out soon... maybe it has already? Anyone had any experience?
i ordered a greddy sp2 exhaust from the... 1 and a half months later and after about a million phone calls i finally just cancelled it... but thats cuz it was on back order... they gave us the money back so i cant really complain... but it was still a month and a half of not havin any idea were or when my exhaust was coming in

I see 8s all the time in the parking lot at the Circuit city on Rockville Pike (the one next to Staples and Bed Bath and Beyond). There was a green one there this past weekend.
Saw a black one parked at a Chipotle restaurant on Tuesday.
Every time I see one I'm like, man I'm having a hard time keeping mine that shiny.
So if there was a way to know it would be cool.

Spotted some one in a dark grey 8 coming out of parking garage yesterday afternoon near the Discovery Building in Downtown Silver Spring... anyone on here? Tried to throw up a sign but couldn't see through the median fence if anyone was throwing back.
Oh and I got my high flo cat. now i'm waiting for the borla to come in so I can't put everything in.

Just spoke with RX7Store and my hi-flo cat shipped out already and the Borla catback should ship out on Monday. Good times. Hopefully everything will be here by next weekend so I can go to my buddys place out in VA to put everything on. I hear tell of an autocross someplace in VA closer to DC coming up My 30th. Don't know if I'm going to run in it but I may go check it out. I'll post details when I get them.
