Hey guys hows it going? I just got my 8 two months ago and I haven't really seen one around here yet. Somebody on here said they cruise around glen burnie a lot and so do I but still haven't seen anyone. I live right on the pasadena/baltimore border so let me know if you're ever around cause it gets boring being the only rotary here haha.

Hey dan do you ever head down to Ritchie highway friday or saturday? I'm usually somewhere on there cruising at night by myself and always lookin for somebody just to ride with. And I was wondering if anybody knew any good shops to get some work done around the baltimore/pasadena area or anywhere around there. I just want somebody that has at least worked on some of our cars so they know what they're doing. thanks.

I live up that way, but don't really hang out. I prefer the "who the @#$ was that guy???" type of anonomity... ;-) If you cruise on weekend nights, then you know that Mickey D's and Checkers draws in the (younger) tuner crowd. When the local authorities come out, the cars usually head to Pep Boys or just cruise. As far as local tuner shops, my neighbor owns HP Racing on Ritchie and Crain and I've had some mods performed there. Talk to Jason, he's good people.

I drive a Yellow, but there's another Yellow that hangs out, primarily in the McD's parking lot. That's rx8fan01. What color are you? I'll look for you when I'm out n' about sometime.

i used to hang around ritchie hwy when i had my MR2 turbo. not anymore tho, i'm not really into the ghetto glen burnie scene. i've heard horror stories about HP racing, but never experienced them myself, nor have any of my friends. i do all my own work, so if you need something done, feel free to ask me. i work at Tate BMW, btw.

 

alright cool thanks guys. Yeah I had all my work done at hp when I had my old cavalier, they did alright work but I'm sure you know what the name stands for...high priced racing haha. But if they know what they're doing with the rotary then it's all worth it. Yeah I head down to mc'ds and checkers sometimes but try to stay away from there since I've heard stories of guys getting charged for loitering a lot. But anyway, I drive a red rx8 so if ya see me just throw me a wave or a honk.

 

what ya doin' on saturday (6/25). if you're not doing anything, we should go down to HIN @ the Dulles Expo Center. DO IT.

Regarding HP Racing, Jason (the owner) is the only one to work on my car there - and he has given me mega discounts on parts. Bein' neighbors has it's advantages, I s'pose! All that said, I don't go there for any engine work. For rotary tuning, I go to PFS in Frederick. Broke Apex Seal put me in touch with Ray Wilson there a while back. Ray will be doing my Greddy Turbo install in about 1-2 weeks. Man, I can't wait!

Totally agree with Danomite on the ghetto poser scene in Glen Burnout.... hahaha! Just not my thing. I might cruise down to HIN. I was there 2 years ago, and it was pretty cool.

you can buy tickets at the door. it's near tyson's corner, so about 45 mins?? depending on traffic that is. it'll be a fun little drive :D

Ok I think I've seen you around now maybe once or twice. I have friends that live in elizabeths landing but I live over on stoney creek, the mailing adress is baltimore but it's considered pasadena too.

 

Weird that is ... 4 miles deep in the county, and a city post office , i lived in Orchard beach ,same thing . Just across the bridge now in Sunset.

Yea, thats where I am...Orchard Beach. Trying to sell the car huh>? Man how could you ever get rid a nice ride like that, I love these cars.
