Maryland People!
That really sucks though, because there isn't anywhere to put a tag on these where it doesn't look awkward. I've had my 8 for about 18 months, and its only had a front tag for about 2 of those months lol

Who told you you had to attach the front plate? I've never had one on any of my sports cars. F the po-po!
The ticket is $75 non-moving violation, and the only police that will hassle you (as long as you are behaving) are the failed-wanna-be-troopers known as the Maryland Transit Police. So I just carry it with me and put it on the dash when I get near the I-95 tunnels or go to the airport.
In the dozen or so years I've been running sports cars without front plates I think I've accumulated four no-plate tickets. Twice, I was misbehaving and rather than write me a ticket for what I was doing (speeding), they rewarded my courteous and cooperative nature by giving me the no-points no-plate ticket instead. Bonus! The other two times were d***head transit cops; once each on the North side and South side of the tunnels.
Oh, and click on the National Motorists Association in my sig...

The Maryland front plate is a moneymaker for somebody (probably several somebodies) with political connections. That's the only possible reason we have it.
Yes, knew about it, but it doesn't change anything. Don't fall for the politicians' lies. There is no car for sale in the USA (at least in the last 40+ years) that was manufactured without "a means to secure and display a front registration plate". If a front plate mount was ever provided by the manufacturer for the vehicle then the fraud... er... law doesn't apply. It's a sham.

I haven't had my front tag on since I bout my car 6yrs ago. I've used that bill bout twice since it was passed, the state trooper that got me looked at the bumper and since I don't have the tag bracket on he couldn't find mounting place for a tag without me defacing the car. Mazda 2 doesn't have a place to mount a front tag if the bumper trim is installed either.
I'm assuming, i have a copy of the bill in tge glove box just in case but I keep my tag in the front window. Like i said i haven't had my front tag on since I brought the car.
Ive read nothing but good things about the bhr coils..never had any starting issues, I just have no idea when the coils and plugs were last changed on this car. Since I bought it at 70k
That bill doesn't apply to our car, I mean I guess it is worth having just to try if you plan to run without a plate in the front, but I wouldn't expect much protection from it.
Also I was pulled over a couple blocks from my apartment because of the front tag being in the window instead of "properly displayed".

The problem is not with the BHR coils, but with the engine and starter. I put in a 2 KW starter and now it starts fine.
More importantly, NO flashing CEL when flogging the snot out of it! (Which is basically every day commuting and for hours-on-end when at the track
) Misfires do not happen with the BHR coils.

Where did you purchase this starter? I've wanted one either way just because I'm a perfectionist and want all the good stuff on/in my car.
