Hey fellas, I'm new to the forum here. I live in Abingdon and Drive all over Harford and Baltimore county for school(HCC for now UMBC next fall) and running my kids around. I have an 05 red, sport MT and can be seen occasionally hauling a beat up old trailer full of way more stuff than my old pickup truck would hold.

Welcome Nathan. I'm in Forest Hill, and we have a handful of people around Bel Air. I haven't seen any 8's hauling a trailer; I would remember that!

I might have seen you on the street. I also have an 05 VR 6MT that is very, very loud, and I usually wave when I come across another 8. Sometimes I get dumb looks, sometimes I get a wave.

I always wave. I have even gone so far as to honk and flash headlights. Every time I see someone who I know must be on the forums I'm either

1) in my crappy 93 camry
2) in girlfriend's r32
3) standing in the bel air target parking listening for wanklebolt as he rolls by on rt. 24

LOL! Yeah, it's pretty easy to identify at a distance, and I like to let it wail.

Typical RX-8 driver, slicing through traffic faster than the law will allow. Hope he used his signals...
I've gone, ah, very fast up that stretch of 95 many, many times to the 152 exit. All those morons camping in the left 2 lanes should have their licenses revoked with a blowtorch and pliers.

Thumping bass, I think I blew out my PC's subwoofer. At 2:25 he rolls past a nice stickered-up SE-R.

Ive seen and driven past that 20B once(recently, about a month ago), It was on my way home from Aberdeen Proving Grounds on RT40. It was really, really, loud, He gave a little blip of the throttle and I did the same, was really neat to hear completely two different sounding 8s. We need to find out who it is.

Anyone want to meet up?

I'm down for meeting up this weekend. I will probably be changing the oil in both of my cars after work (probably around 2 or 3 on saturday, but interested in hanging out on Saturday or Sunday.

My apartment complex has tons of extra parking in the same lot, and I will provide beer, or if anyone else has a better spot to meet let me know!

I live in Parkville right off of harford road and some of the finest turns in the state too.

I won't be going to MIR this weekend, but if anyone else is in the area, I will be around.

Shoot me a call or text. I'm working until 12 today, completely free on sunday.

Ran over a deer on Sunday night. Don't think anything mechanical was wrong but cracked my front splitter/spoiler.

Thank God for zero deductible comprehensive coverage. It's at Heritage's collision center on harford rd right now. I told them to call me if anything mechanical comes up so I can move it to Heritage bel air.

I don't know how the car show went but i know the racing was good I road down with a dude has a red 94 RX-7, which was pretty fast i believe on the track it ran low 12's high 11's,

on race gas and tune I ran 14.5 I might could have did better but it was for the fun.

hey so im in limp mode apparently lol anyone have any experience with this?

engine sounds slightly crappy but the killer is that its severely lacking power, like i gotta hit 6k in first to move. tried a few things but to no avail. might try to run some seafoam through it this weekend. omp seems to be the likely culprit.

You can try seafoam but to be honest with you i don't think thats gonna help.

The majority of the 8's that come thru our Dealer needs 1 of 3 things
1 coils and wires

2 Manifold Shutter valve (seafoam might help this...MIGHT)

3 A Motor
Not trying to **** up a wet dream but just giving you what i normally run in to.

Hmmmm. The seafoam is just what I figured out by browsing the forum. God forbid I ask a question and get flamed to death lol. Already did plugs and wires. I really dont have alotta spare cash right now so I'm hoping to not just go the trial and error method. My best friend works at champion Mazda in Hanover pa. Would the dealership be able to recommend which of these issues is to blame? If so maybe ill limp it the 40 mins up there and get him to look at it.

I miss my 8 I'm stuck driving a damn hundai accent. It's embarrassing really.

But thanks for the advice.

To be honest with you yes take it to someone that knows the vehicle inside and out, I work at Thompson Mazda and Hyundai in Dumb-dalk MD.
