I used Precision Collision in '94 to repaint my RX-7. It is still great after 10 years. They have also done body work on it after encounters with drunk drivers and hit'n'run idiots. The RX-8 is scheculed to go in next month for repair from another hit'n'run. They stay very busy with the insurance work these days but may still do custom work, depending on your request. Barbara is who I usually deal with.

If you are looking for unique paint job, the DuPont Chromalusion process is done by Brown's Mazda (not sure if it is the Fairfax or Alexandria location). This is the paint that changes colors as you look at the car from different angles. I think there are 30 something different color schemes. Here's an example of the effect. Works best when applying to black cars.

Thanks for the info TreknMazda. Appreciate the help.

If anyone else has any other places that do good work or have received great work from Preision let me know.

Thanks

Try Performance Auto Repair in Manassas. It is on Euclid Ave.

They repaired the rear bumper wrap on my "8" (minor accident). Mine is Titanium Gray and although the paint was not a perfect match the first time, they graciously repainted it and matched it dead on! (The first time it was very overcast and snowy and even I thought it looked good when I picked it up, but in the bright sunlight a few days later I could tell. They looked at it and said "Yup, it's off a hair" and promptly repainted it.

I have had them do other body work (my Nissan and my sons Mustang GT) and they do outstanding work. They are also "hot rodders" and love cars, they are not just in it for the money.
