True, I didn't try the hammer route.....

Yeah, i read all the how-to posts around here....but still found it surprisingly difficult. I tried a little WD-40 on them, but it didnt seem to do much, it's hard to lubricate underneath an already tight part. If I can't find that tool, maybe I'll give it another go tomorrow with a LOT of silicone lube...

My friend who changed the exhaust on his 8 came over, and said it was tougher than he remembers. My '04 car has 51K on the clock, maybe the rubber pieces stiffen up over time? Or maybe I'm just weak lol....we'll see....

I just changed my exhaust and i dunno if this is recomended but i used wd-40, they came right out!!!!!

 

Hey ill join you guys for the caravan. Its less than a hour drive with no traffic. All we do is take the grand central and stay on the left lane . That will get us there. Really easy.

The Borla is on!!! Thanks for the advice everyone, just greased the rubber pieces up a lot, and did a lot of pulling. I still say it was harder than everyone made it sound...

But I don't care cause it sounds amazing, and is particularly 'glorious' in tunnels and parking garages. It's actually a bit quieter than I was expecting, but that's probably a good thing.
