Long Island, NY RX8 Owners
He's not like that, as long as we are close. It'll be fun but looking at this snow storm coming I'll bring it back up when all the snow is gone (snow scares sports cars) but spread the word until then!
ok guys I tried to push the dyno to the same day Kane was coming up to NY but my tuner just told me today it's to soon for him next weekend. He said some time in March would be better as he has lots of cars that need to be ready for the race season that starts in march. Well I tried if anyone needs a dyno anyway let me know as I will try to honor a simular price.
For a shop that reasonably knows what its doing, they will probably charge you 3-5 hours of labor (even though i'd like to think we could do it quicker with the right equipment...). Labor rates can vary greatly, but anywhere from $60/hr for a little shop down the block to $120/hr at the dealership. It's probably a $400 job, in the end.
Oh yeah - and I dont know what this part is or what it does, but i've always read on here that if you're going to be replacing your clutch, you should replace the throwout bearing. They apparantly are prone to failure and cheap, so if you're in there you should change it. Do some research on that though....
WHat was that I was saying earlier about wanting a lift in the garage???
Yes im replacing the throwout bearing as well... and what it is... its when ur clutch is out an ur in neutral, if u hear a noise coming from ur clutch then its the bearing which is what i have right now
I use a shop that's owned and operated by the same guy. He does great work and his mechanic has been with him for 18years. There is no BS with them like big places and I trust them. They have a beat up shop on the outside but inside it makes sense and they do things right. Try them Gomez Repair service in bayshore 631-666-5214.
Hi Guys i had a lovely morning when i started my car and looked around the inside noticing everything was opened up and in a mess... yes some ************ broke into my car and stole my 400 dollar gps.. soon i found out this happened to all my nieghbors as well. All the cars were locked, all the cars had some form of an alarm system... No signs of forced entry into the car keyholes, windows, door, not even hood. How the **** did they break in without setting off the alarm??
I went inside the car and i locked it with the remote... then i opened the door and bam alarms working ... i also went and double checked the doors and nothing... the ways i know how to break in a time consuming and usually leave ovious marks on the paint,, **** now i gotta get a new car alarm
