Lets go for a ride

Anyone in the North Philly area....preferably a Mazda tech wanna take a ride and listen to my car! Mazda swears nothing is wrong with it, but I just put my intake in and the noises this things makes is ridiculous. It comes from the engine bay and gets louder if you put the intake in. It is a K&N 2nd gen. Its only after the car has been run for about 20 minutes and sounds like its gurgling, I cant even describe it. ever time I take it to Mazda it never does it. Let me know.

wait wait wait........ you put an aftermarket intake in and then you hear a sound that doesn't sound correct or a sound that resembles something is wrong? is the car driving normally?

yup its only when i accelerate...about 4k and above and only through 2nd gear really...everything is fine when im just cruising along. And its weird because the car is great when its just started and cold, no problems at all....only when its been run for about 20-30 minutes.

sounds like a bunch of marbles in there...theres no way it has anything to do with the intake....its just air going through a filter and everything is tight. But like I said it does it without the intake as well.

Also, I do have the latest flash, new engine mounts, fresh oil change, new battery, just about everything new, except a new engine because something is always wrong with it. Thats what I'm hoping for next. It is getting ridiculous how many times I bring this thing in.

i reluctantly admit to being a mazda tech in the philly area........and i read of the marbles in a blender post day by day.......being with mazda only 1 yr i only kno so much but fuel injectors were an issue in one of the rx8s passin thru the shop......they had a cracking noise at high rpm, no power loss, no low idle......turned out the injectors were clogged and and a fuel system service helped a lot.........

just sayin what i heard,

please dont shoot me

Are you still having problems? Does it only happen at wide-open throttle? And have you gotten any OBD codes through all of this?
