Hail there! Thats too funny! I haven't been on the forum for a few weeks but I was checking out the NE section and low and behold I see my license plate as a thread title!

My wife and I were up there visiting with some friends. You may have noticed the blue Honda S2000. Unfortunately you missed the other RX8 there of my good friend Chris AKA "G-Force" here on the forum. He was there all weekend but needed to leave early Sunday. We are actually from the Lebanon, NH area. Fond memories of that day include, fun driving winding VT roads into Newport and towards Lake Willoughby and a terrific sunburn from laying by the pool at Jay. LOL I have only had my 8 for 5 months but love it as is evident by the odometer which just crossed 12K miles since I purchased it... Good thing I won't be driving it this winter!

Thanks for taking the time to write! Will you be attending any Northeast Events?

Ha ha ha, yeah I did have them on there last weekend and yes I have been running in the rain. Only one real close call on I-91 a couple weeks ago. 70 mph and the rear end wanted to catch the front end. A lil sketchy and the only time I have been worried that I might lose my baby. Good thing I can drive!

Ironically I just drove all the way up to Gorham, NH yesterday to buy some OEM Bridgestone Potenzas from Wingman. It was a smokin deal and will allow me to spend some of my limited fundage on other mods instead of tires.

How have you been man?!

Hey 9K

Good to hear you had fun in VT. I too noitced that your rear tires were a bit bare. How did you lose so much tread in only 10K? I'm from VT...do a fair amt. of skiing at Jay. Have a brother who is building on some land in Jay, so hope to do more. I unfortunaltly will have to drive my 8 during the winter...but any ski trip will be done with our AWD vehicle.
BTW: Do you have your 8 integrated with an iPOd? I have been having great difficulty in getting mine rigged.

Very cool. I live in wilder VT, just moved there from burlington. I've been wanting a Rx-8 for a while and it looks like early next year it may finally come true. I have yet to drive one, and really want to. Is there a mazda dealership anywhere near leb/west leb? I'd love to see your car some time 9k. Maybe it can help me convince the girlfriend (wife at some point soon) that I really do need a project car, and that this will do nicely!

Unlucky,

I have no problem meeting you sometime. Maybe you can meet me and G-Force (he lives in WRJ). If you are lucky MAYBE one of us will let you drive our babies. No gaurantees though! Unfortunately there is no longer a Mazda dealership in town. There was one in WRJ but it went belly up (as did all the other dealerships that company owned) The closest Mazda Dealers are 30 - 60 minutes away.

Autex - Keene, NH (I have all my service done here.) They are awesome.

Grappone - Concord/Bow, NH

McGreevey - Belmont, NH

Walker - Barre, VT

Good luck with the gf thing! I was lucky enough that my wife wanted one as bad as I did.

Later! Ian
