Hey Lynchburg

Anyone live close to Lynchburg, VA? I'm heading out there next week to check out an '8

Pretty close, right smack dab in the middle actually. Who's selling the 8? A dealer or individual?

A dealer. Royal Auto. Probably going Thursday or Friday so you may see it riding around.
I need to know which Mazda is best to take it to for a compression test too, any input? I've heard a few too many stories of bad experiences with some Mazda dealerships so I want to make sure I pick a good one.

I drove by the dealership to take a look today on the way home from church. I assume it's the silver one, seems to be the only one they had. Body condition looks okay even though the wheels look like they've been curbed a few times. Interior was in need of a good detail from what I could see through the window.

As for a compression test, the one and only Mazda dealer we have is about a half a mile down the road, so very convenient. As an alternative, I'll try to remember and call a mechanic I use, who used to be at the dealership, and see if he has the equiptment for a test. That would be my route if he is able to do it.

No luck on my mechanic being able to do the compression test. He's at a Ford dealer during the day and they don't have the equipment. Looks like Lynchburg Mazda will be your best option, and as I said, they are very conveniently located a half mile away.

That's okay Thank you for asking though! It was really nice of you.
I'm going to check it out on Friday after one! I'm a bit hopeful that everything turns out okay.

And I live at the very top of North Carolina, haha. In the middle of Mount Airy and Winston-Salem.
