Got Myself In A Rotary, Finally!!
2008 Mazda RX8 40th Anniversary Edition, it's 1 of only 1000 made here, and I got it with 16 miles on it! It basically has all of the options of the grand touring model with some nice extras. I listed them below if you care lol. Fun car, definitely different from the torquey ms6 that I had, but what it lacks in power it greatly makes up for in every other area. I'll be doing the AEM CAI, RB Race Pipe, GReddy SP2 Cat-Back, RB ECU Re-Flash, and Tinting the windows over the winter. Probably some suspension bits and such all of next year. If there are any other suggestions, feel free to let me know. More pictures to come!
-Exclusive Metropolitan Gray Mica exterior with a Cosmo Red leather interior evoking its Cosmo Sport heritage, Mazda's first production rotary engine.
-Unique floor mats, interior door trim and heated front leather seats with an 8-way power driver's seat.
-40th Anniversary Rotary Engine emblem is featured proudly on the side panels.
-Exclusive 18-inch highly reflective Dark Silver chrome aluminum wheels, blue- tinted fog lights and a 40th Anniversary Rotary Engine emblazoned, silver-colored engine cover.
-BoseŽ 9-speaker 300-watt sound system with in-dash 6-CD changer.
-Signature 1.3L RENESIS 6-port rotary engine with 232-hp MT boasts a stunning, unmatched 9000-rpm redline
-Sport-tuned suspension with Bilstein dampers, exclusively designed for this limited-edition RX-8 - 40th Anniversary Edition, provides sharp handling and precise control.
-Urethane foam-filled front suspension cross member ideally suppresses the engine's vibrations, delivering high-quality Zoom-Zoom steering.

thank you for the advice, i was wondering if it'd be advised to get the AP, i guess i'll just do that. i believe i also read that you shouldn't do the race pipe without a tune. i would've thought the maf would compensate but apparently not?

Looks good. I love the seats.
As far as suggestions for mods, axial flow short throw shifter is a nice, fun, relatively cheap mod. I would also suggest getting a lightweight flywheel. It will noticeably help the acceleration and it gives the feel of torque (but don't kid yourself, it's an RX8, there is no torque lol).
For handling, sway bars are nice and is very noticeable. Those are good places to start.
Have fun with the new car!
