my parents corevette club also holds autocross at lakeland but its usually a 2 day event. it will be open to the public also so if anyone wants to put their 8 up against the vetts this would be a good time to do it.
i can get more info as to when and how much it will be if anyone is interested. as for the june 12th event i doubt i will be racing since its my bday and will have to do something with the family at some point. i will show up and watch for a bit so if anyone wants to bring me a bday present they can..... beer is a great present.......

Tiresmoker. The vette club is both the east and west side clubs. They are hosting the event together. I'M not sure what the west side clubs name is but the east side is called competition Corvette association or CCA . I will find out when they are holding the event

I think if we register we should put it beside our names so we know who will be racing if that's ok. So was we gonna bbq at the beach? We all could split bringing stuff for example, we could bring hamburger, tiresmoker drinks, megz spring salad etc..., and this would save a bit on eating at the end of the day if you guys wanna do that.
Will you be racing? Good idea for marking down the food ideas, I brought this up to Brian earlier this week about seeing if anyone else is interested in going from the autox - any comments on this, or should we go ahead and post it up for the rest of the Solstice/sky and other autocrossers to join?

I'd say post it. People love bbqs, and on top of that they'll be saving some cash. I need to see if we have some extra money, and if I get my springs on before the meet. I'd say we're about 70% for the race.
Synthetic, if you need help with the springs and don't mind hiking out to my place I can put them on for you.
As for the bbq, I'd love to do that. It would save money for sure, plus I love a good cookout.

Thanks for the offer, but as soon as the garage opens up where I can get in I should be able to get them on before the meet. If I didn't live so far away from everyone I would be there in a heart beat
. BBQ it is after the race/get to gather.

So how many people do you think are gonna be there? Do we have grills to make food? Just add your name and what you are bringing so we have an idea
. Oh, and can you add the place we are going to be eating at also.
Here is another list for people bringing food/drinks etc....
1. syntheticdarkness (hamburger)

Here are the instructions from Youngstown, OH since I figured most of you would head past there.
Point B is Lakeland Community College where the AutoX will take place, in the North West parking lot. If you look HERE you can even see that google took a picture days after an autox.
Point C is the beach where we will party afterward.
As for the park...it is a state park...and here in Ohier...there is no drinking in state parks. Park officials do come through quite often...especially when they see 50+ cars roll up. They do have grills throughout so grilling up some food will not be a problem. The area is 99.9999% sand so bring appropriate shoes. It is a very popular beach in the summer...however...it is freakin huge...so keep that in mind if you decide to bring a little one. I don't remember ever seeing a lifeguard up there either...even on the busiest of days.
