Cooler lines
Cooler lines
Looking for some insight on a/m oil cooler lines for my 2004 rx8..w/mtm..the factory lines are leaking like a siv and they're big bucks threw mazda for oem..Wut would anyone recommend for a/m..Heard the racing beat lines are pretty nice..needs some advice and help..thanks all
i was going to suggest Racing Beat but it looks like you've already heard of that option. i vote for those.
BTW, what is a/m and w/mtm? never seen those terms used here before. i assume you mean AT or MT for the transmission?

I installed the Racing Beat kit on mine, it was a pain in the *** but such a better setup. The fittings arent the best, after about a week I developed a small leak at the actual inlet end of the first(drivers side) cooler, took it off, the fitting had actually cut into the hose. I lukily had a couple extra AN fittings laying around from my remote oil filter setup, replaced it and havent had any issues from that point on,,,
Also the kit may seem pricey for three braided lines but its around a third of the cost of the lines that are sold as oem parts from Mazda,,,

Since your also apparently a NH based 8, you could also try this approach https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/rusted-oil-cooler-fittings-183281/.
