Columbus 8 owners
I just had my first experience with Byers. The service department seemed not too bad at all they installed some stuff for free for me that I bought at the parts department, nothing too big of a job though maybe 30 mins of work. I also ordered an A-pillar cover from parts, they seemed kind of slow back there. But overall I liked what I saw, much better than when I was taking my Ford to Ricart for service.
I put some 17" Blizzak WS-50s on and will run them through their 3rd winter before I toss them. These are full-on snows and do very well in the snow. When it's dry, these things are very squirmy. When I buy new ones next year, I will go with a little more "perfomance" oriented snows - maybe something like the Dunlop SP Winter Sport.
The 17 inchers are significantly cheaper than the 18" summer rubber.

Car Alarm With Remote Start
I finally got my Viper 5901 installed today with remote start. I took about 5 hours for best buy to install and it wasn't cheap but I think it was well worth it. I did a lot of research on this one, and the system has everything I want/need on it.
It's been a long time all since we've talked or seen each other. I've missed seeing everyone but alot has been going on.
I'm giving the Columbus gang first dibs on my 8. I'm going to list it for $21,999.00 on Autotrader but will take an OBO from anyone here that can help me get this thing sold.
Please don't ask why. You know that if I'm doing this, I have no other options.
To review: '04 LY GT - ONLY 24k miles - Runs and looks great as ever.
Tell the people you know that they better be serious because I'm not going to be playing games. There will be no joy rides.
There are plenty of threads with photos of the car and nothing new has been taken since.
You can e-mail me at acottone4@gmail.com
Thank you in advance for your help.

man, i love the yellow 8's. wish i was in the market! so i've been using 5w20 oil since the start, but i'm thinking of switching to 5w30 or 10w30 - any recommendation? also, i need to get some scheduled maintenance done - who should i trust if i don't go to the dealer? i live in the westerville/new albany/gahanna area. is there a rotary-focused garage or expert somewhere around c-bus that does great work at decent prices? Who's the best mazda rotary mechanic in town?

3 rotor - yum! I'd love to have the Speedsource guys drop one in for me, but I still have 24,000 miles left on the warranty!
I will say that after changing the coils, wires & plugs, it's like a new car. I have to have my fun now, because it looks like the winter rubber will probably go on Monday

Hey RX8 owners...
just moved here to Columbus and thought i'd introduce myself. i drive a blue 04' 6-speed rx8.
anyways got a question...
i thought i read somewhere on a thread that putting 17in tires on 18in wheels is OK. If so, where can I get this done in columbus or who do you trust? i ordered 17s for the winter and the place i had it delievered to refuses to put them on.
or, should I just return them all together and shell out the extra 400 bucks for 18s.
thanks for your advice
