Polaris is ok for me.

Btw, I'm looking to get back to Mid-Ohio with NASA when my neck fusion heals next year. Brian went with me the last time - we'll have to see if we can get a gang together.

Cool...I think it would be awesome to have a bunch of 8s up there for a track day. hope your neck heals soon.

yeah - I just got a note from NASA the other day - $59 for 30 minutes class & 30 minutes track time. What a bargain! Oh well - next year.

im assuming, and hoping, that the dog is dead. i like dogs and all, but if youre going to run into my car...

bumper is miraculously undamaged, the undertray, grill insert and drivers fog light arent so lucky. still, minimal damage and i can probably score all the parts for $300 or so

Dang Brian, if it wasn't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all!

Hey, with all your miles, you must have done your brakes. What did you use? I'm rapidly approaching 73,000 and am thinking about doing this before the next big road trip at the end of October.

Thanks

is it that time of year?

not yet, but my second set of bridgestones - this time the pole position 03's, are about as bald as jeff bridges in Iron Man. Thinking about getting a set of kumho SPT's or Sumitomos. But also thinking of some all-season yokohamas. Will they do anything in the typical Ohio winter? Or should I just stick with the summer tires and get a set of winter tires? It doesn;t really snow that much here in c-bus.

I bought Dunlop Winter Sport M3s and some cheap painted rims for last winter, worked great - even in a level 3 snow emergency

Run Falken FK-452's in summer, love those.

decided on new tires

based on this artcle:

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...12_evo_page_10

and some other reviews, I went with the Hankook tires. They'll be in next week so I''ll report back on them. ANy of you guys know of these?

Now all I have ot do is ocnvicne the wife I REALLY REALLY need winter tires. But then again, what is that saying "Easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission?" ;-)

I can tell your wife about my experience with summer tires in a sudden freezing rain storm.

Trust me, if she wants to keep you around, proper tires are a small investment.

Are we still on for Sunday? Where & when?

hope everythings ok jeff. im booked until the last weekend of sept, but by then the car should be fixed.

the good news is that true performance fucked up pretty bad the first time around (took two weeks longer than scheduled, came in over quote without telling me, change stolen, crappy job on the rocker panels, didnt fix everything) so theyre covering this repair for me. or at least thats what theyre saying for now, well see how it turns out.
