So how are my fellow central ohio plate scoff-laws holding up? Any tickets for no front plate yet? I'm afraid my yellow is bound to draw a ticket eventually, but to me a $75 ticket for no front plate is money well spent.

Anyone heard whether that bill to get rid of front plates is still in the works?

Roland,

I heard the last attempt to pass the bill failed. It will pass eventually for monetary reasons. Too much money to be saved in not making front plates.

In the meantime, I'm runnin' naked & lovin' it!

They could care less about the extra cost with making a front plate. It failed because the State Troopers said that they wanted to keep it. And I don't think Ohio will ever let it go away because Ohio is in the process of installing red light cameras in all the intersections. I road without my front plate for awhile. It's not the 75 dollars that bothers me, it's the fact that it's a mandatory court appearance. It's not worth my time to get pulled over by something as silly as not wearing a front plate. I agree that the 8 looks much better without it, but that's just another reason for the cops to pull us over. I like driving fast, so I would prefer to be as inconspicous as possible.

I won't say anything about my sans front plates. With my luck, I'll get pulled over for it on my next trip. Nothing!

Hmmm. I had a couple of tickets for no front plate on my Miata and never had to make a court appearance.

3 tix for no front plate got me to put one on. Each was added to speeding or window tint violations for some pretty expensive tix. One cashed in for $253. I would rather not have to use the front plate but to remedy the situation, I simply put a tinted license plate cover over my front plate and it helps the plate blend right into the front grill. It doesn't bother me anymore like it used to.

So how has the Cold Stone Creamery group been? Anyone else up for ice cream any time soon?

Has anyone install side areo flares? I order the app package and allready install the front dam. The rear areo looks easy, but while reading the directions for the side areo flares it looks diffcult. Before i install it, any advices or warnings? Thanks

I just dropped my car off at Byer's for the brake squeal and oil/filter change. First experience there, and they seemed very customer service oriented. Dealt with Frank, and he took care of me. Complained about a few things, the hard starts, dip stick, and shift ****. He told me he would update to the latest flash, get me a new shift **** and look at the dip stick. Gave me a Mazda6 as a loaner. All in all, I'm a satisfied customer. I'll get more details when I pick her up!

We're about due for another ice cream meeting!

Shift **** metal is worn. Looks absolutely horrible! I can understand if I wear a ring and scuffed it up as a result, but I don't.

I agree, the few times I was on the phone with Paul, he seems pretty reluctant to help. He told me I'd have to leave my car over night for them to test the hard start. Frank, on the other hand, said he'd have the car back to me by 3. He seems to know the issue and remedy by heart.

hard start just seems to be a weak battery to be honest

I went in for my 15K service, which I knew I could've done myself, but wanted to "check in" with a dealer in town. I mention some items that bothered me and Byers (Frank) took care of it. I noted the sporadic hard starts and he immediately said he'd check for the latest update. So no special request, kinda just feel it out with the service consultant to see if he knows what he's talking about. I'll let you know if the flash takes care of my hard start. If not, I'll have to mention the battery.

Thanks for the compliment. I originally had the S2000 start button as my avatar for the longest time. I'm sure with some money/creativity you can get a start button on the ****. How about you try it and let us know :p ! The avatar is actually the real start button available at some of the vendors here. I think it replaces the coin pocket left of the steering column.

Cheers!

Frank is my boy over at Byers. I deal with him and only him when it comes to any type of service for my car. We shoot the poop for awhile every time I'm over there. Definitely tell him I said hi when you guys go in for service. No b.s. from him, he just gets the work done every time on time. Great guy. I've even told him once that he should take my car out to see how it runs but he seemed reluctant as he wouldn't want to do anything to mess it up. :D

I need a body shop to paint my cf eyelids. I put them on Sat. and they look great but they're cf and it doesn't look right with the rest of the car. Any good referrals from you guys? I want to get this done asap so any help will be appreciated. Thanks, AC.

Check out IBS collision in Westerville @ 818-0062. They worked on my VR and did a fantastic job getting the color to match.

Thanks Columbus. I'll check it out.

Hung, I'm headed for the Indy 500 this weekend. Maybe the following weekend we can do the ice cream thing. See you guys soon.
