Hey guys I am ordering premix soon. Anybody interested in going bulk for saving? Last chance - I've got half a quart left lol

 

What premix are you using, and what are the costs per quart or gallon.

Is it 12 quarts per case for $67 ? Then if that is so its $5.58 a quart. Idemitsu recommends 1/2 ounce per gallon of gas. So for the Series 1 gas tank of 15.9 gal you should use about 8 oz. of premix at about $1.40 a tank. does that sound right ?

I have been using Pettit Racings ProTek- R, which is $50 per gallon (4 quarts), $12.50 per quart.

They recommend only 4 oz per tank, which is about $1.56 per tank. So the Idemitsu is slightly cheaper at $1.40 vs $1.56 per tank,( using 8 oz of Idemitsu vs 4 0z of the Protek-R) Both are synthetic blends. Interesting !

Stinksauce were you planning to buy one case and split it or how much were you going to buy ? And how much Idemitsu do you use per tank ?

 

I always top off about 10 to 12 gallons so I eyeball about 5 to 7 oz. If I am driving hard I bring that up to 10.

I think I will stick with the Protek-R. I have no doubt the Idemitsu is great stuff. It is more for convenience . I have nice four ounce bottles that I fill with the Protek-R , they are easy to carry and use for a tankful (I can even stick one in the door pocket) , and i just eyeball a little less if i am not filling up. I would have to carry around more Idemitsu on long trips, and I do many long trips in my RX8. Sorry I was seriously thinking of switching, but I guess I am used to my little bottles. There's a place in Oaks, PA with a big parking lot. It's right next to the movie theater. How reachable is that for people?

 

^I am about 20 miles away. Any restaurants around this area? Any twisty roads for some driving?

 

Max & Erma's is right there. Food is okay, cookies are awesome.

Texas Roadhouse is close. Good food, always a fun place.

Twisty roads aren't far.

 

Oaks is an easy ride for me, I would be interested.

I'd be down for a meet. I've also heard there are huge car meets at king of prussia mall lot in PA on certain sundays.

 

If you guys are up for an early ride to west point the tnc guys are planning a hudson canyon pancake run. I am definitely going. Its worth it.

 

Don't think I could swing West Point, but King of Prussia or Oaks would work well for me!

As for dates, I like Saturday nights. Could also conceivably swing a Tuesday or Sunday.
