I did some research...
There's a Hooters in Newark, DE and a Buffalo Wild Wings in Wilmington, DE. I think that's a good sweet spot for a lot of us. I know some of you DE guys are down in Dover and some of you other guys are in Jersey and Philly suburbs. I'm thinking we should do a Sunday afternoon sometime soon. Let me know who's willing to make the drive and we'll pick a day.

Was going to go to Formula D up in Jersey with some friends but that plan fell through. Sucks cause I spent a good chunk of the day cleaning and waxing my 8. 
Any fellow Rotary owners in Dover gonna be out and about tomorrow? It would be great to meet some other fellow Rotary enthusiasts around here!

hahaha I think that's a good reason to stay INSIDE if you ask me.
Wife wanted to go to Kohl's yesterday and when we saw the traffic we both said NOPE and went back home.

Is anyone up for an install type of meet? I would host but I dont own a place where people could gather (no driveway or parking). I want to do a tune up (coils, plugs, wires) and it would be nice to do it with someone who has done it before. I would then be willing to assist with whatever install you need to do (I like to learn). Anybody?

Chrishoky: I wouldn't mind helping you out, plugs, coils and wires aren't too bad. Thing is I'm hella far away, at least for an RX-8. Hopefully someone nearer to you can lend a hand.
Quick heads up to anyone near Dover:
for those that aren't familiar with it Hertrich Mazda Lincoln Suzuki holds a "Speed Meet" the first Sunday of every month, usually from 10 AM to 1 PM. It's free, the folks that work there usually have free food, and they open up the car wash to give your car a bath for free if you want as well.
It's a great opportunity for local enthusiasts (not just Mazda either, a friend who also works there brought his WRX out to today's meet.) to get together and hang out for a bit.
Today's turnout was a little tiny compared to the last two, just trying to get the word out

Hi, I'm a new rx-8 owner in Philadelphia and I'd be interested in getting together with others in the area. Is there anyone in Philadelphia who would be interested in starting a meet up group or is there one already?
We have been trying to get something together for some time, but it seems like everyone is pretty spread out location wise. Where in philly are you exactly?

Im down for a meet, and fairly close by, im right on the DE/PA border, and I have a full service shop (family biz) I have access to, so if theres interest still for the ignition tuneup idea I can help, I also am interested in renting a fender folder soon if anyone else is interested in folding fenders lol

Just a heads up, August's Mazda Speed Meet down at Hertrich Lincoln/Mazda in Dover will be coming up on the 4th of August. Time should be from 10AM-1PM. It's a free meet, with free food and drink as well.
