Sundays are the best for me as well. Last time we were at Wilmington we met at the Riverfront. There were a few RX7s as well. We had lunch at then Iron Hill Brewery and the went for go-carting.

 

Hey I am tied up going down to SC and Fla, the next couple of weeks, but any chance we can get together the weekend of (Aug 23-24) or the week or weekend of Labor Day (Aug. 25-31).

I had fuel pump issues (overheating and shutting off on long drives, common when the stock pump gets old. and in high g left hand turns) . So I got a new DW200 pump from BHR and had Jim of JPR Imports do the install and cleaning of all filters and modification of the pop-off cap. He does great work ! Car runs great now, so looking to get back together with you all. Wilmington was great , and i don't mind going back there again and taking the photos again, I just won't be available before Aug 23rd. If the weather stays good ,we certainly can go into the fall for some meets too.

I'm working every weekend through Nov but if I can get a day off I'll try to make it the 21st.

 

I have a facebook friend of mine with a rotary compression tester he just purchased and is looking for people to test it out on. He charges $40 per car. You would get a data sheet the same as you would from a dealer, each rotor face number + RPM speed to determine your engines compression. Anyone interested? He would like to do it early October. Think we can get a meet together and get a few cars done?

Early October he will be back in town. We can meet anywhere we can take the front driver side wheels off the cars. (He needs access to the spark plug area) I can bring a jack and jack stand with me. Let me know who is in and I can check on his schedule.

 

We had a previous meet in Delaware (off route 202 I think) and one of our members had access to a car shop garage with lifts and power tools. I apologize that I forget the member's name, but that was an ideal location. It was even near some good food choices. I think we went out for Mexican food, very good. Come on folks put on your memory caps here and help me out.

 

I'd much prefer Oct. 12 if we can swing that.

DE is good. As much as I'd love for something to be closer to Philly, I think it's DE's (or south NJ's) turn.

calling Stinksause. Please respond guy. you will remember the member's car shop we went to in Del. You did work on your RX8 there. This would be the perfect place to hold this meet with the compression tester guy. Oct 12 works for me. This location is really close to Philly, really suburban Delaware, so no long ride for either Philly or South Jersey or Del folks, or even MD folks.

 

Oct 12th would work for me. let me at least put it out there to my guy, his name is Dave. GWilliams, I was at the meet at the shop and I remember the kids name, Steve, but I dont remember his user name. Let me try and rack my brain!

I can limp my car out to DE in october, I think. It stalls at idle, but I can maybe hump it out there. Especially for a compression test, since that's one possibility.

I have a hydraulic jack and some stands and chocks, if need be.

 

I do also, I think we can make it work either way. Waiting to hear back from my guy about Oct 12th, he supposed to let me know by Tuesday if he can make it.

 

If we can get member loyal8 to let us use that car shop with its lifts and tools that would be great for Oct 12th. Good detective work Chrishoky!
