Here is my attempt at a flyer for the club. I took the words off of the other one, but I shortened it because honestly I usually just throw things away that are on my car without looking at them. So i tried to make it short and grab their attention instantly and tell them right away what it is. I put two to a page so that if it was printed it could be cut in half to mass produce them.

Looks good except for the quote on the wrong line...I went black and white so it was cheaper to reproduce.

I figured it could be printed in black and white i suppose i should have just converted it right away. What quote are you referring to?

Scratch that I see the quotation mark you are referring to which is an easy fix.

I appreciate your efforts, but the picture won't copy well. Also, I agree that being short is good. But you didn't say WHY? they should check it out.

I prefer to stick with the original. IMHO

You mean the updated original from Ryan or the updated original that you sent me back or the updated original that Banned worked on?

I wasn't aware my car was being used in this publication. There is a small few for using the car in any form of media.

Someone buy me a beer.

I could have used that flier this week. Saw the VR automatic that roams around Massillon at a low rate of speed again. (Saw him at Taco Bell - could explain the lack of haste illustrated in his driving)

Honestly, the exact phrasing doesn't matter. People will read it and be interested... or read it and think car clubs are for losers with no girlfriends or wives for that matter.

Just my 2 cents. . . . I did like the flier with the graphic more than the pics. Plus I feel it'll copy better.

Also, Jon: I am still watching my schedule for the Halloween party. Thats why I haven't given an answer yet.

No problem bud... its pretty much an open gathering, so don't feel obligated if you have other plans and can't make it.

flier

Here's what I'm using.

It really doesn't matter, unless we're turning into Tuning Unlimited, charging dues, and having mandatory meetings. Use whichever you prefer.

I just like mine the best.

Oh, and Steve, I'll pay your "few".....

Hey John - how is the rear-left dust situation? Notice any difference?

I have had my ceramics on since Sunday and it's remarkable how little dust has gotten on to my wheels.

Did you guys discover anything unusual when you had the wheel off?

Nope. Seemed like it was a little more broken up then I would have expected along the edges of the pad - especially where the bottom of the line break - but I think it was just catching a little bit of rust on the inside edge of the rotor that the old pad hadn't been touching. Just a guess though. I sprayed it down with brake cleaner and got off as much rust as I could.

I installed my rear brake pads today.
My driver's side wheel wouldn't come off since the aluminum wheel was basically fused to the harden steel.
I tried a rubber mallet, pry bar, even a few good kicks to the bottom of the tire.
In the end I had to go old school by loosening the lug nuts roughly 1/4" and moving the car back and forth, stopping suddenly until the wheel popped off and separated from the hub.

I would agree that the rustic color dust John saw on his car was the rust from the rotor.
1st pic shows the new pad installed. You can follow the rust line on the rotor and see that it'll hit the pad.
2nd pic is after I took the car around the block and after a few aggressive stops.
If you look at the outer rust ring, half of the rust has already been worn off.
Hard to tell from the pic, but the rust has two different colors.
Refer back to the 1st pic and you'll see that it doesn't have the distinctive color difference or depth.
I did notice that the first few times braking, I could feel the pads rubbing against the rust.
So John, I wouldn't worry about a thing. Chances are by now the rotor is pretty clear.

I'm part of Tuning Unlimited and take no offense to anything said We are just people, ya know lol Good fun! I miss my Mazda peeps

Spotted a Yellow RX8 driving back from NYC tonight in Canton, OH near the new Buehler's. I driving a yellow Focus though. Also, spotted a white RX8 coming out of the new Target in Massillon last week. I was driving the Evo though. It seems like I'm never in my 3 lol

I'll pass out flyers to RX8's I see around town once you guys decide on which flyer works best

some fuktard decided over the weekend that they needed to express their discontent with either me or my car... not sure which. Their opinion was made know with, not the tip of their key but the F`ING TEETH of the key across the top my front right fender flare. I have a nice 4 parallel line arching mark there now (will take pic at lunch). I think it can be buffed out but goddammit... (please don't ban be for religious references... i know RX8Club doesnt ban for swearing) I swear i am going to hook up a tazing system to my car so that the body is live when i am not in it. "Don't Taze me Bro!" ... "Don't f`ing touch my car, bro".

Sucks dude.
I actually thought the same thing one day when the hellions on my street dropped their butt on top of Yulia's Mazda3 roof.
I would love to scratch their face with that same key and leave a scar... this way you can see who has keyed a car in the past.

I think we decided that everyone is going to use whatever flyer they want. So pick whichever one you want to use.

d00d...that sux. Hopefully you can buff it out...but I have never had any luck with that. Even the scratch out stuff didn't work for me for swirl marks.

Yeah, pick whichever flier suits your personality. Bottom line is we're just being friendly. If they're interested they'll check it out.
