Just make sure you have a c-clamp for the fronts, needle nose pliers for the rears, and a metric socket & open end set.
Also, watch you don't yank on the speed sensor.
Last summer when I replaced the brake pads on my truck, I accidentally broke the speed sensor because I forgot it was still attached.

Does that mean you can't speed anymore? I don't think the cops are gonna buy that one................

If the cop is dumb enough to think losing one ABS speed sensor has anything to do with the MPH readout... Its plausible!

What fun is it if you can't yank things until they break? Geesh.

I picked this up yesterday. Figure I'm going to be doing this enough might as well get decent tools for it. Should help speed things along.

Sure. Here's a copy of the instructions

You put your left foot in
You put your left foot out
You put your right foot in
Then you shake it all about
With instructions like that it should be a breeze!

It's not putting my foot in it that I'm worried about!

That is a great price on that set. If I knew how to use it, I'd buy it!

Anyone interested in WWE Unforgiven tickets
The PPV takes place this Sunday at the Quicken Loans Arena?

I came across two extra tickets that I don't need from a contest winning so I'll probably sell the tickets I purchased.
I'll get the extra tickets tomorrow morning so I can review where the seating is (I believe its going to be a suite).
If that's the case, I'll probably sell my other tickets in section C108.
The tickets were $85 a piece (not including the $8.75 fee charge per ticket).
I'm asking for $150 for both tickets.
Anyone here interested?

I'm angry about the exhaust install not going smoothly...

...And I'm further angry about the guy I subcontracted building my sub-boxes to is being stupid.

So I have nothing nice to say/ or relevant for that matter. (That does not in any way mean that what I would say, or have said, is relevant at all)

Eh, I'm making sure my fantasy football line-up is in order!

Did you get a chance to try the PB Blaster yet or not until this weekend?

Hmmm.... You didn't have to have it in by Thursday? Lucky. I'm just crossing my fingers that no one on my roster gets hurt today or tomorrow.

Well... I'm frustrated because I FINALLY got my 22" LCD monitor, only to find out that its defective!
The backlight turns off after 1 second of applying power or turning it on!
This occurs in Windows AND post-boot... so its not a software/driver issue.
Tried to go through the various monitor settings including the factory reset option (using a flashlight as my monitor backlight just to see).
Tried both the DVI and VGA connections. Tried different power cables.
Tried different video cards on different computers on different electrical circuits (and going from PCI-E to AGP).
Called Acer Support and told them what I did to troubleshoot it down to a backlight issue (or more than likely a bad capacitor causing this).
I have to fax them proof of purchase before they will support the monitor (which I don't have a fax and won't be at work until Monday).
Reasons like this is why I HATE ordering electrical devices on the internet.
Buying from a store is SO much easier to just return/exchange and I would gladly pay a little extra to have that convenience.

WELLLLLLLL

I put Koni adjustable shocks on Red Racer. Set at stiff. Mazdaspeed front sway. New Autocross style alignment.

Now the car rides stiff as a board. It'll be interesting to see if I drive any faster. It's DEFINITELY a different experience driving. Hitting a bump is just a big bang sound. Not much give at all.

Should know this weekend. ZOOM ZOOM

Nice. Mind me asking how much and where you had it done? And any problems/etc. they mentioned doing the shocks? I think I'm getting my shocks/springs/alignment a week from Monday tho it's still up in the air.

Oh and did you just go with the -1.4 camber or did you do more adjustments?

I'm sure you will have a better feel for the car. Might not have better times right off the bat but then again it might dial you in right away.

Yeah, I went with the -1.4. That seemed to be the consensus on the forum.

I bought the shocks at Tirerack. Just in time too. They raised the price $20 ea right after I bought them.

There was another place online cheaper by $20, but I knew tirerack so bought there. Trust fee..........

I'm honestly not sure that the shocks are going to be that big a deal. Other than the stiffer ride - should - be a little more responsive. Probably less forgiving too. I think the alignment change will make a big difference though.

The shocks are a pain in the ***. You have to remove the whole spring housing. The fronts are adjustable with a **** up under the front strut bar. But you have to take the whole rear assembly out to make the adjustment. STUPID design. That's why the forum comment is "set the rear and 50% and forget them." So much for adjustable!

I had the garage across the street from my office do the job. I don't have the knowledge or time to do all that. They changed the oil, tranny fluid and brake fluid for me at the same time. Brake pads were still ok, so I'm gonna do those next spring (After you teach me how!)

You won't have as hard a time with the alignment if you go with a factory alignment. I went to Conrads in Broadview last time (as soon as I bought the car) and they did NOT do what I asked them. We checked. I'm pissed, but Oh well.........

I'm thinking, since the alignment was off as far as it was, this will all help me. I wondered why the car was plowing so much. I kept fiddling with the air pressure. Nothing changed. No duh. I had asked for -0.9, got -0.3 camber. That's why the tires were wearing so bad on the one side.

I don't know if I would go to -1.4 with yours though. Daily driver - that might wear out your tires fast. Why don't you wait a little til we see what happens with mine. You can drive it a little if you want. See if you like it.

I just don't know enough about cars to know what to look for. I'm learning fast though.

I was just wondering what the shop that did the work charged you for the shock installs and the alignment.

And those shocks will help you. I've found you can't tell that much of a difference via your butt dyno when you do most mods - but if you undue them you find a ton of difference.

The shop charged be about 600 for the whole day. I supplied the shocks, bar and brake fluid. They supplied the oil, tranny fluid. It took them all day. The shocks took a lot of time to figure out.

I'm a little worried about the rear setting. I keep bottoming out on even minor bumps. Hell's gonna break loose if I hit a pothole.

The alignment was $50 at Enger tire with the NORA discount. That paid for the membership. I probably should have had them do the other work too.

Hey, I'd like to get some idea how many people are coming to the cookout at my house next Friday. Also, I'd like everybody to bring some kind of side - baked beans, desert, fried lizards........whatever. I'll supply the place and the meat. If I can get a deal, I'll pick up some corn for the grill. We'll see.

So please email me at mark@drdomo.com to let me know if you'll be there and what you'll bring if you know.

Any food allergies???? BYOB

FRIENDS ARE WELCOME. KIDS TOO!

Please remember, this will be a kid friendly meeting, so please watch your language.

A little later we'll have a quarter ante poker game too.
