Didn't know about it... but I'll be away on vacation then anyway.
Going to Topsail, NC for a week. Try to avoid the sharks.
That's awesome, have fun in NC and try to catch the next one!
Does anyone know of any other cars and coffee type events? The only other open format car show I know of in the area is this which takes place every Tuesday in Solon.
I sometimes visit cars and coffee west of hudson (north of cuyahoga falls). I just went to Superfly in kent yesterday, and it was actually pretty fun getting out. The group had some turbulence recently, but the turnout is getting better I hear.
Oh yes it was! No front plate warning. I drive that route everyday, wasn't a problem until now suddenly. Who knows...
For anyone interested, I'll be going to cars and coffee on chittenden road (off of 303) this saturday. Feel free to come and say hi. Always enjoy meeting more rotary people.

Really?!
I haven't had a front plate installed since I purchased the car.
Guess I've been lucky the past 10+ years.
Ohio Lawmakers were trying again (back in April) to pass a law to where Ohio would only require rear plates, not sure what the progress is on that.

Is this an NEO thing in addition to the one at Smokey's Dyno? I couldn't find anything online about it but it'd be worth a stop just to swing by Nervous Dog on my way back from the one in Akron.
Yeah it turns out it is at smokeys dyno. It is not actually not where I first thought it was, but the address is 3435 Fortuna Dr in Akron.
EDIT: Probably will skip out on cars and coffee and will head down to supefly in akron next weekend.
Sad to say this was the only rotary there between 10 and 12, I hope to see a few more next time in September. All that aside, it was a pretty cool event and I'll definitely be going back to the third one.
Someone slipped a turbo I4 out of a jeep into this Dakota on lowering springs with a 5sp gearbox. It was... interesting and one of the cooler non-mustang vehicles there.
Anyway, what's the deal with Superfly? I talked with some guys in a Veloster who said it's worth going to but a few of my mates said it was nothing but stance nation last time they went. Is it worth the trip out?
I don't know how valid my opinion is because I'm not a regular to the event, but it was pretty interesting about two weeks ago. The turnout was large and there was quite a variety of cars. I would say mostly import vehicles. I met up with a few rotary friends and we had a cruise to the event, so that probably made the night feel extra fun.
If you are interested you could join us on our cruise this weekend. We meet up just off of I77-S so it would easily be doable if you come that way already. Message me on here or FB (preferably) and I can give you the address and when decided, the time.
I'm up in mayfield Ohio. If you guys are interested we have a show every month called soft grip. A lot of different events At lake county speedway I'm actually going to be starting to redo my entire car to compete in there parking lot drags
Just wanted to introduce myself, I live in Akron area. The 8 is actually my little brother's, but i am the car geek in the family, and i'm currently rebuilding his engine (first timer). My car is an '04 red mustang gt.
Also, anyone own an 8 in or near Stow? I see a red one pretty often throughout summer months.
Quite possibly could be, i can definitely hear the catback on it when I see it driving around. There is another one that works in Stow too, always parked over on Commerce.
One red midway down Commerce has black wheels and a very loud exhaust. I cannot remember his name though. When my office was on Commerce I would hear him coming from the second he turned off 91. Would be aroud 7k RPM when he passed my window. Annoyed the other people in the office, but made me laugh. I was just paranoid that the cop that likes to sit on Commerce would think that it was my car instead.
I also have a red 8 but with a body kit and stock exhaust. I used to park on Commerce but my job moved me over to the other building so I park on the Rt 91 side. Unfortunately, my car is for sale.

yup that would be the one, i work on hudson dr so i would hear/pass it all of the time. My boss, me and two others all have mustangs though. Sad that you gotta sell yours. Working on my little brother's 8 has made me want to buy another with low compression or a motor in need of rebuilding, and fix that one for myself.
