You do know how far away Lima is right? A three hour drive one way to autocross for a local event is absurd, especially when he has closer options in the Toledo area with NWOR.
That is a pretty far drive for an event I would not participate in lol. I for reasons unknown just learned to drive a stick and I would look like a jack@ss attempting this lol. My last car I owned when I was 20 was a 97 dohc neon w/built auto, 85 omni gears, high stall converter, ect.. so I never had to learn really lol.

Hey all new 8 owner here from Lima, OH and I've had the car exactly a week now. I see a handful of other 8s in town but not very often. Anyways I have a 2004 Red 8 Grand Touring with manual tranny and the red/black interior. Best thing is it's only got 24k miles on it.

fixed that for you.
If you truly believe you've got a 2005 Shinka, please check for your VIN here:

As you can see by both his and my sig, there weren't too many made. Brian (tiresmoker) and i both own 1, so that leaves 1355 left. If your's is and someone repainted it to v. red, you need to find that person and hit them in the face... with a brick... while they are sleeping. twice.

Those that do this spend an entire day in a parking lot for 5 minutes of seat time to drive around cones.
We spend ridiculous amounts of money to drive around cones faster than other people that like to drive around cones.
We get into fights on the internet with others that disagree over our discussion about driving through parking lots.
Point is: most of us are lucky if we can still see "jackass" as even a spec in the rear view mirror.

ok, who owns a black rx8 in the n canton area? i saw you (i think again) pass the Speedway near the corner of hills & dales and wales... nice blue lights (the little lights not main lights and they were true blue not some funky "warm" or "cool" khz bulbs) in your headlights... going to get pulled over for that. White and Amber is the only legal colors allowed facing forward for any and all passenger cars. just a friendly warning... oh, ok and laugh at you for putting blue bulbs in your headlights! LOL.

Same setup as me if you just drive on the street keep them on full soft in the front and it's no different from stock going over bumps and potholes. The drop is a lot bigger in front. You get a nice even gap all around.

I guess no one wants to have an install day?! I have plenty of other things I need help installing so anyone with some knowledge would be appreciated.

Why?
Because Doc and Brian's spring compressors are both at my shop from doing Danny's suspension.
Pick a day in the near future and maybe we can replace Josh's sagging rear springs on that day also. Yes Josh, I have springs for you.
So let's get some interests because 3-4 people could knock this out in like 2 hours.
--On a personal note, I may be relocating and thus loosing my massive garage space sometime this summer. So we should pick a day to do this soon.

I am ready whenever. I work the typical 9-5 monday-Friday so a weekend would be ideal. Also, do you think driving 40 minutes on the highway to get home without an alignment will harm the tires?

But plan to get it aligned after its lowered.
Also, before you bring the car out, if you're able, get the car in the air and spray some PB blaster or other penetrating oil on the upper control arm bushings and the lower shock mount and the sway bar endlinks.
If one of the bolts is stuck or otherwise fused, it then raises the question on the best way to proceed. This is where my garage is ill-equiped to deal with this, plus the suspension is not some place you want to you low grade lowe's chinese bolts.
Let me look at my calendar and we'll pick a day to get this done.
EDIT: If you do have the car in the air and have the sockets to do so, it would be worth it to try to break each bolt loose too to try to avoid the rusted/stuck bolt situation.
I had this happen on both my S2000 and Kristen's Civic this spring. Both times it resulted in stalling the project (read: leaving the car on jack stands for a few days) until new hardware was ordered.

I'll help. I like getting my hands dirty. I can't the 11th though because I'm moving that day. Probably a whole weekend project. Other than that and autox and I'm good whenever.

I took my spring compressors when I was down there working on your S2k. Although I believe I forgot my one compressor, the A-frame style one.
I'll probalby pass on helping. I have too many cars as is to work on before adding more to my list.

And no worries about not helping out. Danny's car hasn't fallen over yet (atleast due to the suspension install) so I knew what I was I doing enough.

I have a golf outing all weekend that weekend...as for the bolts I will do my best to make sure they move but this is a low rust situation and I have new front end links to install as one of the stock units is broken. I live in Avon so that is quite a haul on a bad alignment but I don't really care about this set of tires.
