Akron/Cleveland 8 Owners.
The racing beat cooler screens...
Mazsport midpipe and gaskets with some scratching from bottoming out coming in and out of the garage....,
clear corners (yo),
Oh, and 11 quarts of rotary premix. Doubt the Kia will need that.

Would this get me to pass emissions? Failed twice and ordered a RP Super-Cat but if this will do it.....

The Fiesta and Mazda 2 are pretty intriguing. From what I hear, Ford broke from their typical pattern and adopted the Euro version of the Fiesta without dumbing it down and screwing it up, changing only the bumpers to conform to US regs and the suspension to accommodate the extra weight that entailed.
I'm very interested to see what kind of incentives Mazda offers on the 2.
I just went through the buying process with one of my daughters (Marina replaced the Bonneville that went into self-destruct mode) and after we did a lot of homework she ended up with a really nice deal on a new, though rather basic, Mazda 3. If you want the benefit of what we learned feel free to touch base.
Highway and cruising it did the trick to keep the CEL off, but when I started to hammer on it the CEL came on.
Thanks I'll stick with the RP then. I'll PM. I'd go with the Focus!

1. Get a decent daily driver that is good on gas, slow & crappy enough I won't want to mod it, has a nice long warranty, and most importantly, be decent for a long while giving me the freedom to...
2. Get a dedicated fun & autocross & maybe track car. Bronco still has the bones and brawn to tow. Miatas are cheaper to mod, tires are cheaper (mostly), and I'll finally get that convertible I've always wanted. Plus, no matter what I do on Sunday morning in a parking lot, its not a huge deal as far my daily automotive needs are concerned.
So... I have a bit of time. I want to order a 2011 grocery getter...
Top 3:
1. Kai Soul Sport
2. Ford Fiesta
3. Mazda2

FWIW if I was in your position I would consider a 4 door 4-banger as your 'grocery getter'. A 4dr civic, a mazda3 hatchback (not a speed which still gets crap mileage), a focus, or something else in that vein would probably be more up your alley.
Honestly you're talking about a car that you can daily drive for 7-10 years then plan on 4 doors. Trust me on that one.
Rear seats up - 13.3
Rear Seats Down: 27.8
Mazda 3 Hatch Cargo Volume: 17.0
10k + for an NA miata is really pushing it.
However... if the Bronco engine remains functional when whatever is going to die on the car finally dies. (my money is on transmission)
I'd keep the 5.8 liter around for that reason.
Normally they put the 5 liter in... but I wouldn't retain the stock look. I'd just cut a hole in the hood and let the top end hang out.

Damn Steve, blown engine, sorry to hear it.
Anyway I'm also parting out my 8, trading it in for a 2010 speed 3 on monday. If anyone local wants some swag, let me know. Right now I have:
AEM CAI (silver) modified for turbo usage, however, should still fit N/A. For some reason I'm missing the 2 bolts to mount the thing.
A Borla Cat back, with about 15k on it.
RP supercat that occassionally throws the emission CEL, but otherwise appears ok.
Axial Flow Short Shifter (You know you want it)
I have all my parts from the turbo install, minus a working turbo if anyone is interested.
And a set of clear corners.
If you're interested, gimme a PM or post here.

Tree Sap? Bug? Golf Ball?
If its scratched into the window, I'd make a call to the insurance company. Normally they have free glass repair so you don't open a claim for a new windshield when it does spider out...
But its so hard to tell from the pic exactly what's going on.

In other news: for those that expressed interest in parts, speak now. They'll be going on the sale thread here in a few days.
Lastly...
Any interest in planning a meet for the following weekends after the holiday? 11th or 18th? We haven't gotten together as a group in awhile. Just throwing that out there to see if there is any interest.
To anyone interested: I want to get rid of some parts! With that said, I'm going to offer some deals to the locals that are interested in picking up said parts.
Borla Catback: See pictures below, less than 20k miles, tips are in good shape, $400.
1st Gen AFE Short Shifter: $175
Clear Corners: Removed reflectors look great, on for about 5k miles, $70
