Yulia said that after watching the races, she doesn't think she'll be able to auto-x (which she wanted to do eventually).
She has a bad back from an accident a few years ago and doesn't think she will be able to take it.

Playing Ninja Gaiden 2.
Ninja Gaiden was my favorite game on the original Xbox so I was pumped to get it on the 360 (maybe my avatar gave that away).
Really don't play any other game, but at least I'm actually using the 360 for something more than just TVersity.

Well, the neighborhood kids attacked us again... this time they destroyed/stole our mail.
My NetFlix was ripped open and they left the sleeve, but of course took the DVD.
A check Yulia sent out (or attempted to) was opened and her check was taken.
I never wanted to hurt somebody so much in my life!

So now Yulia has to cancel her bank account and I just set up a PO Box with the post office.
Yulia just went to her mom's and got a mean husky that was in the back yard and was probably going to be taken to the pound.
As you can guess, he will be outside "guarding" the path they like to take through my yard.
I plan on purchasing "No Trespassing" and "Beware Of Dog" signs to post up and cover my *** (that's what the police said to do when they first "attacked" our property).

I really wish we had an escape from this crap... I guess I'll wait to see what their next move is now that the dog is blocking their little path.

Jon, I feel for ya bud... now imagine watching your car drive away, never to be driven by you again because they're just going to gut it. Not to mention steal your hockey equipment also...
Nothing makes the blood boil like someone stealing from you. And (no disrespect Dana) but the police have never done a thing about it in my cases (1 complete car, and 6 stereos). Esp. the stolen car. Think they wanted to take finger prints of the car or anything? Nope. Civics get stolen all the time, they just got away with it. VIN numbers or engine VINs so if they turn up.... nope, not important. Giving Steve Vyn speeding tickets is more important.

See, now you got me started again!

Just be careful, you don't want to start an "arms race" with the rest of the 'hood. Honestly, I would lock the gate, put up no a trespassing sign, obv. file a police report if you haven't already, but leave the dog out of it right now. Your time may be better spent potentially looking for a new living situation.

In other news, got my airbag light off. i just unhooked and rehooked all the connections under my passenger seat on my way home from work. Did the trick.

Locking the gate is not going to do anything since they have already knocked-out two planks and last weekend started on a third.
And do you really think these brats care about a sign alone saying "No Trespassing"?
These little worthless creeps probably don't know how to read anyway...
I'm keeping the dog by their little path and could really care less if he bites someone.
I lived with them breaking my gate and even throwing a piece of it at my house, but now it got personal by stealing our mail and even a bank check with Yulia's account information.
I think an "arms race" has already begun since I am obviously being singled out here.

In the mean time, I'll attempt to get a home loan but I'm not holding my breath.
With hour cut-backs at work, I don't have the extra cash to save for a down payment (hell, I couldn't even buy two new tires for my car)!
But all I can do is try. I might even look into another rental house in a better area.
At this point, I don't care if I default on my current contract.
Its only time before they decided to enter the house and do something, and it scares me shitless knowing that it could occur when I'm at work and Yulia is home alone in bed.

Anyway... sorry to rant... many thoughts running through my head now!

Jon make sure you file a police report on this one as well. Tampering with mail is a federal offense and carries some nasty teeth.

I am glad there is not much crime in streetsboro (at least not that I have seen).

Vyn, you have problems in north canton? I lived in canton for 8 years and didnt have any issues or really question the safety of my stuff.

My focus got broken into when I live in boardman, but I am pretty convinced that it was someone else in the APT building who heard my stereo every day and realized that i didnt have an alarm at the time.

I lived in three different places in Streetsboro... never had a problem with any of the locations.
I would like to move back.

I've had my car broken into in Perry Township. Stolen from the Baldwin Wallace campus in Berea. And Broken into in my driveway when I was in high school in Hudson. We had an old conversion van stolen out of our driveway in Hudson too come to think of it.

North Canton hasn't been any problem. I work in downtown Canton now, which is way worse than North Canton, but no issues... knock on wood.

Jon - what netflix movie did they take?

Damn, I was hoping it was something really embarrassing, like that movie about traveling pants or the notebook. Then it would be funnier because someone actually stole it. oh well.

Jon - I'll be up there around 4 tomorrow with your tire so we can make the swap.
Brandon - That puts me in Streetsboro around 5.30ish if all goes well.

Jon, I'm very sorry to hear about the issues at your house. It's truly disheartening.

Having said that, is it a full moon? I'm getting some really weird customer emails. I love internet sales. I've actually started posting some of these in a blog.

"How do I place an order?" Uhhhhh......................

dang jon, that really sucks about all the crap you're dealing with... if your looking for a place to buy, i'd recommend considering massillon. you'll find 2x the home of anywhere in akron for the same price. my wife and i bought our house in dec. 2640 sqft (and 2.5 card garage) with a 2.5 lots size yrd for under 180k. you simply will not find that in akron or its suburbs. taxes are lower as well in massillon. just food for thought.

Doc: your boy's fish rocked! man i cant wait to hit the water this year. havent had a chance as of late. butdefinitely will be soon.

I should plant a DVD with guys wrestling around naked in a mud puddle!
Teach them to steal a DVD from me!
side note: NO, I don't have a video of guys wrestling in a mud puddle!
I can already hear the jokes being created with that comment

Sounds good! I'll try to have the other three tires swapped before you get there.

Massillon might be a long drive from Twinsburg.

Probably middle school/high school kids.
So many age groups cut through our yard, its hard to tell for sure.

1st time the police was at the house they actually recommended getting a mean dog and chaining him near the gate.
I asked them about any legal issue that could occur if the dog bites someone.
They said as long as the dog is in our property and they were trespassing, they can't do anything.
They recommended getting the signs just to cover all grounds too.

Yulia just called me to mention that the kids tried to scale the fence and when they landed in the back yard, the dog barked and ran after them!
They quickly jumped our side chain-linked fence to get away!
Yulia was laughing because one of the kids was over-weight and had a difficult time getting off the top of the fence
I wish I could have seen that!

Glad that worked. I probably would have considered investing in a shotgun but a dog seems like a good solution too.

Sniper rifle with a silencer and a few cases of ammo was on my mind last night
