Peninsula is in between Cleveland and Akron off of Route 8.

The Winking Lizard is a bar/restraunt, but being 17.....well.....you're welcome to come, but make sure you have your parents fill out and sign the permission slip. J/K

Seriously, though, I'd make sure it was ok with the 'rents before going. (I don't think mine would have been down with me going out with a bunch of people that were older than me, especially to a bar/restraunt.) Or you could sit this one out and just meet up with us next time. A bunch of us are planning on meeting up at an AutoCross event at Lakeland Community College on May 18th. That environment would certainly be a more "minor friendly".

 

Looks like everyone made plans for tonight. What are the odds that you guys will still be down there at 8 or 830?

Soooo.....am I the only one here that's second guessing the idea of an RX8 meet in the pouring rain.

I thinking I may pass on this one. That really bums me out too because I was really looking forward to getting together. I just don't think the rainy weather makes for a good car meet.

You are refering to the 18th, not the 11th, right? As far as I know, the SCCA autocross is on the 18th.

Heya! I have a Phantom Blue GT.

Right after I bought mine last year, my daughter - who lives near the Mayfield CVS - called to tell me about the "cool yellow RX8" that was always there.

 

I'm planning on being there regardless of the rain. The cars will just be a bit less shiny. Or are the phantom's the only ones whose tail ends look like they've been through a Death Valley dust storm every time it rains?

 

I'll still be there it's just rain it'll make my car look cleaner haha!

 

I just got back from the airport. I'll be heading over in a little bit. They do serve Pop too guys! It is more of a restaraunt then a bar anyways. I'll be getting wings, a coke, and shooting the crap with who ever shows up. See you down there.

You gotta love it, when a group of guys who have never met, ranging in age from 21-47 can get together and have a good time over a car........................life is good!

I'm pretty pissed I didn't go.
A couple people were supposed to come over my place and play a few games of pool, but called me at 9:00pm to tell me that they weren't coming.
I knew I should have just said F*** IT and went up to Winking Lizard.

Too bad parking would be crazy here is Akron, or else I would suggest coming down to my place one day for a meet... nothing like having your own pool table and bar in the basement. My whole street would be lined with RX8s!

Good choice. I enjoyed meeting all of you and getting a chance to check out the doc's anniversary edition. Hopefully we'll be able to add a few more in June.

The race itself is at 5:00 pm on Saturday. Looks like they're combining the GT's and protos this year. The Koni is on Sunday. Hopefully we can get a group together for this.

 

What is it with you guys and meets on Friday's? Boneyard will be a better place than the Lizard though...at least there will be tons of parking and you can't forget meh Lucky Charms. :P
