Denim you're going to Harry grove right? Join the 2 man convoy!

Hopefully I find a front bumper by then. Or figure out how to rig mine back on. broke the tab for the only bolt holding up the passenger side..
PM me if anyone knows of one. PLEASE and thanks.

Did you break the metal piece or do you just not have the bolts? There should be 2 bolts on each side just inside the head lights (also a plastic push in clip on each side) and one screw under each of the corner lights that hold it on. You are talking about the front bumper cover right?

Also does anyone have one of these laying around they would like to donate?

It runs cross under the car between the left/right side at the rear of the cat pipe... and it's not supposed to be crinkled up like that...

Yes the front bumper cover, the long tab that goes under the metal, connected to the bumper cover snapped off, and I broke the one tab that holds it under the passenger side corner light.

Oh wow... that really sucks. They aren't going to let you run with your bumper hanging off.

I have never really looked, what holds the metal thing onto the plastic bumper?
Is it something you could plastic/jb weld back on?

on the top of the bumper cover there is a tab, under that metal strip. It has one hole in it that goes over a pin, and then has bolt holes for those bolts in the metal strip. The metal is more just to secure things. The bumper won't fall off without it.

And I broke that strip/tab off of the bumper, I'm just gonna go ziptie crazy and see how well I get it to stay. Need a new bumper regardless. And the white mount around the passenger side corner light.

Come on, don't let that stop you! I've never shifted more than once during the course of the race, so the difference between transmissions shouldn't matter that much! Might as well come out and get the feel of it. Trust me, you'll be hooked.

How'd that get like that? I'm taking a grinder to that damn concrete lip as soon as I get a chance!

I've been looking around for a replacement stock brace for you, but haven't found one yet. Anybody know of a decent replacement aftermarket brace that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

If you can't find one before the Autocross, maybe we can just run different heats and trade braces in between.

It's hard to say just how it happened... Just like everything else on RX-8's, apparently even stock they have varying levels of clearance lol. Looking back I probably had over 100lbs of **** in my trunk, that and me being so heavy probably did it.

I found the replacement brace online for about $36 + shipping, but I'm trying to decide if I want to do that or just get an upgraded set.

Well I will obviously assist in the installation. Glad you were able to find one for a reasonable amount.

I have been given full permission to grinder the living hell out of all the concrete leading into the garage, so that problem shouldn't occur again. I think I'm also going to get some boards to put down just in case. Stupid sports cars with their needs for long, gradual ramps.

Alright, I need some opinions from everyone. I found OEM front and rear bumper, AND a fiberglass mspeed replica front and rear, and the guy is supposedly giving them away.... His reason is because he likes people that drive rotaries.... The catch is, it's in Brooklyn, NY. I don't mind the drive, but is it just me, or is that sketchy?

Sketchy sketchy sketchy. Even if they are low quality replicas and in pretty poor shape, that's still like $1,000 worth of stuff he is just "giving away". No way that's legit.
