can't wait. Do we have a list or number of how many 8's from here are going?

To the BBQ or the Autocross? The BBQ there is a list on the first page under WHO?
As for the Autocross, registration is not open yet so it's hard to say. I'll post on the first post when registration opens with a link.

You can bring anything you would like, or if you don't want to you aren't required to bring anything.

I think denim has the same exhaust, but I don't know if he still has a cat. I feel like while his is loud, it is not as apocalypticly loud as brokenrecord's is. It may just be I haven't been as close to Aaron's when he revs it up though.

Also there is talk of starting a WV/MD/PA RX-8 Owners club. Who is interested? I'll design the stickers lol.

Hey guys, Ed has opened up registration to members and their guests only, so if you are not a CDC member then email me and i will register you as my guest, this will make sure you get on the list as TnT days are more exclusive. Do this ASAP as this will fill up quickly! My Email is: NateAtkins@umbc.edu or nathanatkins.meche@yahoo.com

In your email include the following info:

-your first and last name
-your email address
-vehicle details to include: Year, Make, Model, Color, and your best guess at estimated horsepower and weight
-Emergency contact info: The phone number and full name of whoever you'd like notified in the event of your death/dismemberment etc.

Payment to CDC is due in cash only at the time of registration, i think its $35 for members and $45 for nonmembers for a TnT day.
Looking forward to it fellas! hopefully my car will remain in one piece until then and during the event! Don't know if you saw but I had a bit of a coolant pressure leak issue lately

BTW CBarnes, if you're passing by my place in Abingdon, MD the morning of the event, I am happy to convoy in with you the rest of the way.

I think this could be pretty cool, it seems like there is a good group of us in the area that are pretty enthusiastic owners. I've dealt a lot with one of the larger local Mustang clubs (the Mid Atlantic Cobra Association) because of work and some personal connections, and I know they do a ton of events over the course of the year. I'd love to see us work our way up to that kind of thing. Can't let the V8 guys have all the fun.

Jon, let me know if you want to swap your cat out one of these evenings or sometime next Tuesday, I'd be happy to help. It's a piece of cake.

So you have the "racepipe" with the TurboXS catback as well? Jon's neighbors are going to LOVE us.

I don't think it's the race pipe, but their cat pipe, maybe I am forgetting as I have not had a full cup of coffee yet.

I think you are right because I still don't think it's as loud as Chris's.

I would love to set something like this up, my only issue is that I am not available on Saturdays and can only participate on Sunday events, would that work out with other people's schedules or is Saturday better for everyone else...

I am impatient so I will probably try to do it today. What kind of tools did you need to get it off and was yours rusted on badly? I'm wondering if I should pick up some penetrating oil.

Yeah, I feel your pain, working Saturdays at the dealership definitely cut into my car time, and I guess my new overnight schedule isn't much better!

Tool wise you will just need a good socket set if I remember right. I'd recommend some gloves, penetrating oil, and something to give you some good leverage to break nuts/bolts loose, but it is all pretty straight forward. I think I was able to completely swap mine out in under 30 minutes, including getting the car up on stands. I should be off at 5 if you haven't gotten to it by then.

Also, sending an email to you now. I saw that they open registration if the event isnt filled on the morning of, is it still possible to register as a guest with one of you members on the day of? I plan on being there pretttty early, so if any spots are open I should be good to go, And do you have to be registered to ride as a passenger?

I think thats a good idea, theres really no car scene around charles town unless you're into VW's..it would be cool to do some car events

by the way...is frederick completely overrun with VW's?...i like them and all but everywhere you look around here theres some kind of modded VW/audi I get tired of seeing them all the time lol..VW's are like hondas anymore

Hey guys, I received emails from Aaron and Chris Bizzle fo' shizzle, they are registered for the event.

if you're not a member of CDC and you want to go to this event, I suggest you send me the email with the info I needed and I'll register you as a guest. Nathanatkins.meche@yahoo.com

Chris, I usually go to the south side of Baltimore to hit 70 west rather than going around the north side of the beltway, I'll meet up with you there down around Arbutus/Catonsville area if you want

I think they assign temp numbers (non members) the day of the event. But I could be wrong.
