^^ Yeah I went to my work (CVS) and we are out of folding chairs for the summer crap.. guess I'll have to suck it up and goto Walmart was hoping to avoid there.

I'll send a email about food I aint no grill person but I'll ask incase anyone on here might be interested. That and a Tent.. a small one of course, I think my work still has one on sale but dont wanna buy it if we can't set it up and relax under yanno. Oh crap just remembered I need to buy a bigger memory card also I plan on taking way to many pictures.

I just bought like 4 12 packs from CVS (not gonna bring all of them! lol) for the show so I got that outa the way. They are on sale this week 4 for $10 and you also get a rebate thingy for $10 via the mail so they end up being free, so its a great deal for me!!

last year voting ended about 2 pm, awards were given out by 3 and things were pretty much wrapped by 4.

Bring a blanket or something to lay out on if you want to get comfy or chairs. pack just like your going on a picknick. Thats pretty much what it is, except you got ferrarri's next door and lotus's behind you

Last year there was a guy going around asking to take out dings onsite. I think he was charging like $35 a ding ( I may be wrong on the price). Bring some touchup stuff for the bugs on the ride up. Walk around, take pics, and relax. Very easy going day...

^^ Half my cleaning stuff is in my trunk all the time hehe.
Btw using a #2 pencil eraser workds wonders on removing wax from our plastic parts its scary how easy it came off. Now tomorrow I do touch up paint fun ugh.. if anyone has any good/great tips please PM me ><!

Oh just got a reply from Jeff...

Kevin- No booze but Budweiser will give you 2 free drinks inside the plant. You don't have to do the tour to get the drinks.

You can bring in any food you want, the grill might prove to be a problem for the crowd and the guy parked next to you. There will be a caterer grilling Burgers and Hot Dogs anyway.

Lawn Chairs and even the Canopy are fine with me.

Thanks,-Jeff

So anyone game for a small canopy deal or just forget it? I've never been there so I'm not sure how much there will be in terms of shade.

Setup is on a big lawn (real big!). Jeff decides where we all go...maybe getting there early gets a better place? not sure, last two years we were under (or near) trees (read: shade) but there are not enough trees to go around. That's why I'm getting there earlier than later

Well in the email I sent Jeff I made mention that 5-10 of us (Rx-8's) are going to the show so maybe he'll be nice and give us a nice spot.

I have a feeling my 8 will be the dirtiest car in this show as I don't have any time at all this week to do a couple layers of Zaino.

Just a hint to all who may not know...

Lexan (headlights) can be buffed out just like clear coats with the same materials.

my10ae I don't think I'm going to make it to your house. I didn't realize that your house was that far north from nashua. Considering the car show is like 5 min from where I'll be. It will be crazy for me to drive 30 mins out of my way. So I guess I'll wait for u guys at the show. Or maybe I can meet u some where as your comming down towards my way. And join in on the roll in at the car show.

Hi all,

Looks like the donation/registration fee went up from last year:

" Fairs/Festivals/Shows Saturday, August 26, 2006

More info:

NOTE - this event has a rain date. I saw someone mention that the 5-day extended forecast was talking thundershowers. Hate for everyone to get up at 6:30 to meet at my10ae's at 7:30 only to have the event moved to Sunday!

^ damn well I would of had more than $20 on me anyways but still better safe than sorry now.

Yeah I heard about these thunderstorms but then again these are the guys that claim 12 to 6 hours before hand "We are going ot get 3ft of snow so be careful and bunker down" then the time of the storm it turns out to be the warmest day of the year so I have little trust in extended forecast's.

Hey folks,

If the show is pushed to Sunday, then we'll meet at my house at the same bat time, same bat channel.

No problem in not meeting up at my house brave, maybe we can meet somewhere off exit 10 in Merrimack? Maybe you know the aera better than me and we could meet there and caravan over to the Bud Plant.

Drop me PM.

If the show is moved to Sunday, I won't be able to make it. We have church in the morning, and even if we skipped that this week, my son's 13th b-day is at 2pm. Let's hope the extended forecast is totally wrong, like Clav said!

I'm familiar with the Exit 10 area, and was at the Bud plant two weekends ago for the Hot Rod Show. Trust me, there's nothing off Exit 10. You take a left at the end of the Exit and a left at the 2nd set of lights and the plant is immediately on your right. (Unless you are coming North on Rte. 3, then it's a right off the exit and a left at the lights.) Go past the plant and there's a Meineke and then a business district (McDonald's, pharmacy, gas station, etc.) You guys might want to meet right by the bridge that goes over Rte. 3. Just a suggestion - didn't mean to eavesdrop!

What forcast are you seeing? MSN say Saturday in Merrimack...

Saturday

Aug 26Fair Hi: 74° Lo: 58°

Slight chance of light rain showers. High 74F and low 58F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Precip chance: 20%

Sounds nearly perfect and if only 1 in 5 chance of any rain falling anywhere....gosh what are the chances it falls there on our show? At the worst...perhaps only 90-99% maybe

HolyCross, Rod, and myself are going straight up to the show but might hang in the parkinglot area and drive in with all you other guys (might help the show directors also since all if not most of us will be rolling in together also). I dont know the area at all really so saying "yeah meet at that place with the thingy" erm wont be that great.

Btw for anyone new to checking this thread out Our lil caravan (if you call 3 cars a caravan lol) is coming up from the south shore area, so if your interested and from that area or RI even come on up man!! I'm thinking leaving Dedham area around 7-7:30 since mapquest gives me a hour drive to Merrimac (they are always wrong usualy shorter obviously).

If there is a chance of rain I might try to find a folding canopy thingy (A small one duh!) so we can chill under instead of just a tree. If its cheap also is a deciding factor but I do need sumthing to put over my car to keep it cool while I wash my place has no such thing as shade sadly.

For me and the wifie it's going to be stressfull just getting to Merry-muck by 8:15 lol. With easily 8+hrs quality time at the show..... we'll have plenty of time for a cup of joe or agwa or juice on-site wilst there.... much easier to de-stress after getting setup.

Smile

So is the plan meet there (either caravanning with other 8 folks) in the parking lot and then drive in together as a group?

If that's the plan, then I'll be there (with Lil' Red and RPI-RX-8) around 8:15-20am or so.

As of right now yarg dat be the plan matey... lol

Well I just got my Evo-R eyelids in.. and my headlights still look like they need Visine, even a girl I was dating whom I seen last night (sadly) commented on how bad both of them look now.

Today's plan is carefully doing some touch up paint work. I think one of my women friends (not girlfriend -:sigh:-) accidently 'nicked my paint on the passenger side door. Swear I've never known paint on a car to be this soft before.
