I guess I did ok. Got the Z on my last one, so we had a RX-8 1-2. It was mostly s2000 and Sti/Evo that got us on raw time. The car is certainly capable, I just needed more bravery
It was a great day, nice meeting you guys.

None taken. I can make all kind of excauses: he has wider/newer tires, lighter wheels, lighter car, blah blah...but let's just say he drives better. He's been beating me all year long, I only got him once.

i think the lighter wheels has a lot to account for him beating you, 1 pound of unsprung weight = 4 pounds, and those rims are only 17 pounds, so he took 80 pounds off his car, and he seems like he is a little more experienced

Yep...perfect day for a great event. The two 8's did a stellar job. It was great seeing them negotiating the course almost flawlessly, minimal body roll, all four tires firmly planted around each corner, and in basically stock trim! We had a brief discussion with the lone Nissan Z driver there and asked him if he had done any mods to his ride. After about the second paragraph of engine and suspension mods, my eyes glazed over! And somehow it seemed he was in the same class as the 2 stock 8s. And by the way, my informal timing put the 8s consistently even or 1-2 seconds FASTER than the Z-car!
Great day for the 8s!

Got it! I guess I haven't seen that happen before. Usually whenever anyone adds their info it automatically shows up on the map. Anyway, looks good now.

I'm going over to the car show at the Hardees at the intersection of I-94 and Hwy 83. Some sharp cars usually show up. Would be nice to see multiple 8's there! Going over around 5:30.

Late response - great day on Sunday! Nice meeting you all gear heads. The 8s were looking sexy. I can learn so much more from you guys. Just decided I will put away my 8 for the cold this Thanksgiving. Oh yeah, my bf found out he cannot use the snow tires coz they are too wide in the back to clear on a bump. Guess now I gotta sell them. More info later.

Sorry I missed out on Sunday, it was a gorgeous day. I ended up having family matters to attend to however.
Hey John, do they have the meet over at the hardees in Delafield every wednesday? If so I'm going to have to make one yet before the weather turns sour.
