I'm in! Assuming my FD is together that'd what I'd bring ... if not, I'd bring the 8.

Any interest in trying to make an event out of it as well?

I am going to MAM next weekend for a DE with the Porsche club. I am definitely in for the September event to drive with my Mazda brothers.

Went to my first Autocross today, now I'm even more interested in this track day I'm going to try to make it, not looking forward to dropping the money on a helmet though... I think I may be addicted to autocross though, need a helmet at some point to feed that addiction, lol I saw a lot of cool colorful helmets today, anybody know where those come from?

Most likely motorcycle helmets.

Be careful you can't use motorcycle helmets on actual tracks, Only SA rated ones.

Yes obviously make sure its SA or Snell certified. Otherwise money down the drain. But you can get a helmet for like 100 bucks and for what you gonna use it it shouldnt be bad.

I was at MAM a few weeks ago & it is a great track for our RX8. Flat track with no elevation changes, but tons of combination corners. I have signed up for the Woodhouse event. It will be a fun event with a variety of cars such as Viper, Mustang, Porsche, Mazda & Nissan. Hope to see you guys there.

Wow, this is getting closer... I need to get on the ball and make sure I can make it out there since I missed the last autocross events. Who all is going to make it for sure?

I've got the helmet but not too sure if I'm going to make it. I've been to a lot of autocross events but, to be honest, I'm a little intimidated by the track --- how fast will we get on the straight??

On the straights, I got up to about 115. For the rest of the course, I was driving mostly in third gear. This is a fun course because I could throttle steer through most of the corners. Since this is a DE event, you could always signed up to have an instructor ride with you or ride with an instructor before driving on your own. You can drive as fast as you are comfortable. Everyone is competing against his or her own time and all the drivers there are very supportive to new drivers.

I was just there on the 15th, amazing track. Got 2.5 hours on the track. Kind of kept up with my buddies stock STI.

I might be interested in this again if the price is right.

The event is already so full that track won't even be fun. I'm gonna pass as its >8 hours away for me.

Man, that has just about convinced me! There is no way I'm going to get my fix driving in the SCCA nationals here in Lincoln. Way too much competition and don't want to look too lame.
