Arrow UPDATE!!! - Woodhouse Mazda Wants to Sponsor an RX8 Track Day at MAM

Woodhouse Dealership in Omaha wants to sponsor a track day for RX8s.

The dates they are looking at are September 19th and 20th.

From what the initial talks are with Woodhouse Marketing it seems they are going to cover a substantial portion of the track fee.

Post up if you are interested.

I actually bought my RX8 from Woodhouse. They are the best Mazda Dealership in the Omaha area.

Update:

Track day will be $50 for one day. $75 for both days. You need your own SA 2005 helmet to participate. There will be very few loaners available.

Tech inspection will be morning of.

The very last thing is I'm looking for a written statement from the dealership that they will not void any warranties for participation. She said she would get back to me in a few days.

Well a few other questions, is there a limit of how many people we need? Also JUST rx8s? Im sure if you widen the field we could get more. Not saying it be better, track for 5 people would be great! :D

There is no limit, it sounds like they have already reserved the track.

She also said that they are opening it up to all mazdas.

Also the lady said that they were planning on opening it up to the enthusiast groups of the other major car brands that they sell at their dealership, porsches and vipers. I have no clue what their turnout will be.

I bought my helmet from http://www.saferacer.com/ it was the cheapest I could find that didn't look shady.

I have this one http://www.saferacer.com/g-force-pro...productid=1841 in black, its a good comfortable entry level helmet.

see its usually around then. some of the local FDs were thinking about going out their. But well see, this is a great fallback plan if seven stock is on this weekend and we cant go lol. hopefully it will be a week after seven stock or a week before it. I just wish they would post this years dates for it already lol

well I don't have the money now. as I just spent 2k on my sport bike for plastic, chain and rubber.

I've been told that I will probably have to replace the rear housing and turbos but the only way to really tell is to crack her open. which I plan on doing once I have money to do so I remember where everything goes lol. plus while I'm at it might as well save up for more mods and do it at the same time. so I probably wont have it running by then.
