Track Insurance DOES exist

Hey all, I know some of you enjoy your cars in the manner in which they were intended. I found some supplemental insurance for the track, with the help of the NASA forums website.

http://www.snellingswalters.com/motorSport/index.php

Premium is $600 for a yearly policy, with a $1k deductible. I signed up, and for the extra coverage I figure its worth it for the peace of mind.

FYI

My state farm office recently told me that i was ok for a driving school or track day as long as I wasn't competing or doing anything illegal. So i guess for me hot laps would be ok, but i couldn't do time attack, autocross, etc and be covered.

I was told the same by State Farm of Florida about 2 years ago...I was recently advised by a State Farm agent in Indiana that this may no longer be the case, though...

RD,

She said she checked with their underwriter and their claims department, for whatever that's worth.

To be on the safe side you may want to get it in writing.
