Very cool to meet you fisherdn. Hopefully, we can get a bigger showing (more than 2) next time

Sorry about the less-than-stellar turnout guys. I had a friend in from out-of-town that night and we had a night out with the old group from high school. Couldn't pass that up.

As the weather warms up (and my life slows down a little for the summer) there will surely be some more people hangin' out. I know they're out there! Every RX-8 owner I randomly come across I mention this site and the fact that we have semi-regular get togethers. Even if a get-together means that we all go to Modena's house and rip out our suspensions, exhausts, intakes, upholstry, mirrors, etc. then hop in the pool and eat some BBQ.

We've got a couple RX-8's and at least one race-prepped RX-7 coming to the PDX track day at Gateway on May 21st. We could turn that into a "driving meet." Even if you don't want to drive your car fast (legally) you can possibly sign up to be a corner worker or something and get to see what an RX-8 does on a race track up close and personal. I know I'm pumped about it!

I apologize for the no show on my part also. Had some family stuff come up at the last minute. I was really bummed I couldn't come. I guess I got a pay back today. On my way to work I caught some debrit flying out of the a guys truck bed on my newly repaired hood and windshield (earlier hail damage). Just got the car back a week ago, and now this. I have a dent in the front of the hood, with a scratch running up the whole length. Looks like someone keyed my hood. That scratch then continues up my windshield in two places. The hood and windshield are brand new with the repair. Can I NOT have a nice car?!?!

Thanks for the sympathy. State Farm is nice enough to be taking care of it for me.
